A giant dive bar with lots of tables and a big U shaped bar, lots of tv's. A good tap list. They have food but we didn't have anything.

visited for a stand-up comedy act in the lower level. decent set up - selection was also decent.

I go here for lunch sometimes. Nothing too fancy here. I think they target large groups of young people. Prices are decent. Definitely not a place you would want to go on a first or second date.

Shakespeare’s is located right downtown in Kalamazoo. They can regularly draw the college crowd. I’ve been there a number of times. The service is kind of hit-or-miss. We have had excellent service and terrible service...in the same week. They have a lot of beers on draft that are priced pretty fairly and they regularly rotate a good portion of their drafts. I would not say that this is one of the best go-to spots for craft beer in town, but it’s on the upper part of that list. Occasionally they will have something special. I have managed to grab some Canadian Breakfast Stout on draft before which was pretty epic.

Went there after Bell’s Eccentric cafe. It’s more of sports bar, small beer selection, noisy ambiance, sports bar food, nothing fancy. We went back to Bell’s.

Visited 06/20/2013. Stopped in after Bell’s to catch the NBA Finals game. Cool bar with a lot of TV’s. We bellied up to the bar and were amazed by the selection. We had just been talking about not being able to get to Shorts, and here they had a bunch of it on tap. We dove in head first and made a night out of trying as many of the beers that we can’t get back in Iowa. Pretzel platter and burger were the bomb. Finally called it a night as the Heat won and we could not consume anything else. Great bar, love the atmosphere.

Large comfortable pub, lots of tvs, pool tables, 44 taps, decent food. The selection was good but not lots of less common beers. Good crowd on a Saturday, friendly staff and other patrons. For lunch had $3 pints, great deal.

Update: A shithole I’ll never be back to. Scott, you reap what you sow.

I’m not entirely sure what the draw of this place is. The locals I talked to love it so obviously I missed something. Was there on a Friday evening. Packed. Pretty dirty feeling. Large and open with a long bar. Solid tap lineup. With as many taps as they had I didn’t see too many ones I was really itching to try. Maybe I came on a bad night, I don’t know. I was let down.
