Shambles Bar & Restaurant

Fairly big, open bar in a wooden-beamed building, with terraces facing the harbour. Great views from the leather sofas just inside. However, if you’ve got kids you’ll be banished to the dark, dirty room at the end. Service was a total mess, the waitress basically had great difficulties even entering our order into the till. They have 5 cask ales, two of which were Conquest of Whitby when we were there. The food was perfectly decent. Overall a good place if you don’t have kids and don’t get the wrong waitress.
