72 Visited in the evening and the place was absolutely packed. Seems very popular with the locals. Loud music. Unfortunately that means guys behind the bar are barely managing to serve everybody. Also the beer is served in plastic glasses. Plenty of taps, but lots of not so interesting stuff. Anyway not really a beer establishment, more a place to go out with friends. |
88 Visited here on Sunday afternoon in early August '19 after a Cubs game. Located a few blocks from Wrigley Field, a fun happening place. Good post game crowd and they handled it well, superb service. Great tap selection of Chicago favorites and several from the rest of Illinois and surrounding states. Sports bar type menu, we had Nachos and they were pretty tasty. Overall, a solid experience. |
88 With bangers and lace and bad apple this is another spot which has lots of new to market beers. They have 3-4 bars and a biergarten so its spread out between some bars serving staples and some serving unique offerings. The food is good including the brunch but not out of this world. Good place. |
74 I’ve been here a few times with my girlfriend and we’ve enjoyed it. Both times I looked online at the beers first to see if there was anything particular I wanted to get, but when arriving, they don’t even know the beer I am asking for or about.
Besides this, service is good, and they have a nice selection of high quality beers. Food is good, too. Seating is eh. Sometimes they are pretty packed so it can be difficult to sit and get food. |

82 Visited 7/25/2010 with masterski.
Got into town on a Sunday afternoon so that may explain how quiet it was here. Regardless of why it was a nice place with lots of room. There are 3 bars and lots of seats. Ordered a Harpoon Leviathan Bohemian Pils (meh) and took a couple sips of Alex’s Daisy Cutter (very good). I saw a number of interesting beers on the list as well. From what I hear they do some interesting brewery nights like the Goose Island night with 20something taps going. The waitress was very nice and prompt. The fries were good and reasonably priced (as was the beer). Definitely want to check out the themed beer nights. |
84 Extensive tap list, focused on local beers at this north side Chicago bar. Three or four different bars, each with their own vibe. Service was very attentive, especially for being very crowded on a Saturday night. I didn’t try any food but I came home smelling like a meat smoker so that can only be a good sign. |
86 Was the first stop on a pub crawl and just randomly decided to get dinner here instead of later- that proved to be a very wise decision. Had a real nice variety of top notch beers and a couple ciders to boot. Liked the vintage cooler and my buddy actually decided to get a 2006 GI Imperial IPA. While I thought that was a weird beer to age it proved to be fairly tasty and quite an enjoyable experience, if nothing else. I had the brisket sandwich, which was very tasty. Service at the bar and at the table was quick, friendly, and knowledgable. I first thought it was a tiny bar but it opens up quite a bit in the back. A really enjoyable local bar that I would definitely come back to. |
70 typical neighborhood pub for Chicago, but with a fun variety of local and regional products, strong and light, lagers and ales. all served at proper temperature, which is a rare find even in this city. was pleased to fin the pulled pork BBQ plate well-made. |
84 Sheffields is pretty damn awesome, considering they are so close to Wrigley. Always have been a staple in terms of local craft brew bars. |
