Sneaky stop mid mainline-rail journey, nice and convenient for the station, certainly. A clean and open Wetherspoons, certainly an inviting atmosphere in the morning when there's no crowd. Has some of my favourite traditional ale brewers on the guest pumps, so on paper I'm happy with the 4 ticks, but in reality they were not all at top condition. I blame the outdated monarchy and their stupid royal weddings. Staff were fine, prices were good. Worth popping in certainly.

It's getting increasingly harder to enjoy a Wetherspoons. Other places are.conatantly upping their game, while JDW have stagnated. This is a case in point. Smaller than many of the chain's outlets, Sir John struggles with the massive footfall. Absolutely rammed on a Friday afternoon, and they only carry a few guest beers, none of which really excite interest. Still, they're friendly and efficient. Not particularly recommended.

Visited April 2017. Placed just outside the tube station, easy to find. Clean and spacy pub. Went there for breakfast and a few beers. Traditionel JDW deco. Friendly staff. Beers were served in ok condition.

Visited here a few times, a good sized spoons in a big L shape. Have visited on both week days and weekends, and always seems to be very busy/loud so not the kind of place for a few quiet beers. Overall standard Spoons you know what you are going to get.

Big Spoons aover the road from Farringdon. Popular with city types makes it busy and loud with quite a high d*ckhead quotient. Beer range is hit and miss but plenty of hand pulls to show beer as coming soon. Picked up a few festival beers here and in good nick. Ok Spoons and can stick your head in on the way to the Craft

Visited at 9am on a Thursday, so it was obviously very quiet. Had my large mixed grill, which was good. Ten different cask ales on which is always a joy to see. Cheap food, clean, bright. Nice JDW. This gets a rating of 68 on the day, but I should say that the ale festival was on at the time, which has a big impact on the rating.

One of my favourite Wetherspoons pubs. Still has that old school feel and clearly hasn’t been renovated in a while. Selection varies quite a bit - it’s usually quite good although the last few times I’ve been in it’s been poor (London Pride, a couple of Greene King beers and that’s about it). Having said that it was great during the most recent real ale festival. Never had a duff pint here and well priced as you’d expect.

One of my favouite Spoons. A large spawling interior in a big L shape. Service here is always snappy and the cask condition beers are always served properly cool and in good condition. If the Craft doesn’t burn up too much of my time then I often pop in here.

A standard ‘spoons – large, open plan with ranks of tables, each numbered with their little brass disc screwed to the surface. We visited during their international festival and the beer choice was excellent (hence my high score on selection, although this may not be typical). There was a cheerful atmosphere too and all the beers were in good condition. I noticed that the prices were slightly higher than is normal in Wetherspoon pubs – possibly because of the area or possibly because of the festival, which had brought in some hard to find treats.
