Good beers, and good service, but I would say to come just for the beer as the food was rather awful.

600ms to the west from Vaclavske Namesti, few steps north of Karlovo Namesti. Hostinec/Inn with Cvikov beers from Liberec region, North Czech. Plain n easy interior in the classic building in Nove Mesto. Staff speaks some english. Menu has many tempting schnitzels. I took one with gouda. And the desitka was fantastic, soft, sweet and goodlooking. Likeable place.

Man, such a random find, while en route, after a looooong day, to a place that would turn out to be close way before its closing time. This, most definitely, wasn't. A brand new restaurant by the Cvikov brewery, opened barely a month or so ago. Now, not many will accuse Cvikov of being one of the better breweries in the country, their genre mostly being cheap buttery lagers, but their restaurant isn't a bad place. Sporting 5 regular beers + one rotating tap of their seasonals (a lager dry hopped with Mandarina Bavaria that was sadly more buttery than Mandarina-driven at that point), the darker modern-ish ambiance wasn't that bad. Professional service, good prices for the center (of course, you can get the beers even cheaper elsewhere, but for the location...). Actually wouldn't mind checking the food out next time, it's probably more about that. All in all, a good place to rate some rare beers, maybe to eat something, just don't expect wonders from the beer. How to get here? A minute or two's walk from Lazarská station - 1, 3, 6, 9, 14 and 24.
