58 Visited at 11:00 on Saturday 7th Sep 2019, it was rammed (nowhere else had opened in this part of Dublin). Large central bar with seating all around it, nice, noisy vibe even that early. Wife had an Irish Coffee, me a pint of Smithick's Pale Ale, no new rates for me in here, so we didn't stay longer. Guinness or Lager seemed to be the most popular beers being taken while we were there. |
32 Visited earlier this month. Wasn’t there long as it was boring as hell. Boring macro stuff on tap and quite dead to be honest, although that might just be the time we visited. Sports on TV, many places to sit around the centrally placed bar. Dark wooden interior. Lovely female staff members who were the main if not only reason I actually drank a pint there. Won’t visit again though. |
64 We went there for breakfast, which was nice. Music was nice, interior was nice, staff was nice, music was nice. Beer selection not impressive, mostly macros. |
52 No fiddle here! Only classic Rock and Roll. Interesting 1916 Memorial wall, with lots of photos, uniforms and even a revolver. Beer-wise? That’s worse. Mostly Irish macro and only one Irish microbrewery represented (Rye River) Friendly service but the bartender didn’t know much about the beers. Not a must visit. (Visited February 16th 2016) |
56 Big pub with a centre isle bar. Good selection of Irish micros. Dont miss the 1916 commemorative wall. Food was good and affordable, not worth a detour. |
62 Large single roomed venue with Eurovision blaring out. Beer range mostly Diageo but a couple of interesting taps. Not seen McGargle elsewhere in Dublin.
Ok place. If you’re passing pop in. If you’re not. Wouldn’t bother. |
60 This ’Cheer’s like bar place on the north side of the city centre has a decent enough vibe to it and is one of the better options on this side of the river. It’s quite small given the size of the central bar with seating around its sides offering customers the usual selection of drinks for Dublin including a couple of craft brews in kegs. Live music happens here but the stage is very odd. It’s more like a makeshift platform just above the doorway which allows everyone to be seen but it doesn’t look like the most comfortable place to be for the musicians. Irish bar in style but well lit inside. |
