64 This place was likely cool at one point in time but is now dated and tired. Staff were OK, but bored and didn’t care or push beer. Beer was average and you could get a taster. Food was good pub food with large portions. I wouldn’t go out of your way for this one. |
70 A lot like a BJ’s but they really brew their beer and it’s a lot better. Had some pretty good beer and Awesome IPA Hopasaurus Rex. The beers at the Steelhead Brewing in Burlingame CA suck. |
70 Large pub, comfortable, not a ton of selection but decent stuff, especially their hoppy brews We had breakfast here t next day and it was a great value. |
66 Visited here in August ’12. Attractive corporate-type brewpub with plenty of brass, brick and TVs. Good crowd fro a Monday night. Has about eight of their own on tap with a few guest taps. The ones I had were solid - no boundary stretchers. Good food - had salmon pasta and it was delicious. Service was not as attentive as it could have been, but was friendly when they got around to you. Worth a visit if in Eugene. |
42 Steelhead is pretty mediocre as breweries go. The only reason I have to go in is their home brew root beers. Wish their other beers were as good! |
68 Nice environment, excellent beers, mild deal. I sampled 6 brews for 7 dollars |
86 Best burgers in town. Great beers. Cool part of town. |
72 I did not expect too much out of Steelhead besides the fact that it was my first brewery visit in Oregon. Well I should have expected a whole lot more. This very large restaurant mixes the sports bar with hints of class and interesting touches like the London telephone booth you can see on the left. Efficient and extremely friendly waiter took care of us nicely. At lunch hour, it was quite packed, but it remains spacey enough that you can have a talk without so much disturbance from the noise level. The food was not too expensive and highly satisfying. It does not feel so much like a bar, I would not spend a whole evening here, but then again, the beers are good enough that it might be tempting. Solid IPAs. |
52 Situated in a nice brick waehouse building, the Steelhead brewery features a wannabe English pub/Old Boston decor. My bartender was not, overall, very attentive, despite my being there at opening time and being the only person at the bar. There were a few people eating and ordering drinks, yes, but, eh, whatever. Anyway, I had the sampler and the shredded BBQ pork sandwich. The sandwich was slightly above average (the bbq sauce was waaaay to sweet for my taste), bu tthe meat was cut-with-a-fork tender and was seasoned with pepper and the aforementioned sweet bbq sauce. The beers ranged from poor to slightly above average. And the rock music playing as background music wasn’t too shabby. |
44 So far, I have not had good experiences here. The selection of Steelhead beers is good? Both times I’ve been here, the young servers are totally sidetracked and not paying attention to customers. Great place to watch a game -- they’ve got the televisions! Food has been totally fine. |
