Surprisingly dead on a Thursday late afternoon. Large, open wood and steel space, primarily designed for their brewery tours. Mostly flagship beers on tap. Collets with to-go product available. Patio is a nice outside space with a raised wood n nature walk along the riverbank of the James. Definitely worth a stop, near the airport.

Wonderful location here. The outdoor seating is great - nice meadow, bridge by the canal, and view of the old train bridge lumbering away. Got here at opening and did some early work while I had a few brews. Everything was available in flights, including some hard to find Stone top brews and some locally brewed stuff I haven't seen before. Quality always top in the beer. Prices ok, and they have some nice swag. Friendly service.

This place is so gargantuan, it's hard to find the parking lot and bridge the tasting room. The customer service/bar/store area is relatively cramped, especially given the ginormity of the facility. They really didn't have much different to offer, either, all but one beer I've been able to get at Total Wine in recent times. Prices were fair, staff was cordial, we shared a table with some friendly folks, and I always love my Stone beers, but now that I've checked it of my list, I don't feel the need to go back either. Blaringly loud, terrible music didn't help. If in the 'hood, I'd choose Triple Crossing instead. Brewery #861.

Nice place. Huge with opportunities to buy anything from 5-12 oz beers. Great for sampling. Games for kids and adults. Friendly and helpful staff.

Great place. They have a large taproom with a great selection of Stone beers on tap. There is also a large outside seating area and goats roaming around outside taking care of keeping the grass mowed. I am a big fan of Stone beers, so a visit here was exciting and I was not at all dissappointed. Only downside was that it was quite busy so I had to wait in line a bit for beer, the the beers were all well worth it.

Probably the biggest production facility for a craft beer that I have ever visited. This is not a "tap room". You get a feel for the vibe of Stone Brewing as you cross the bridge from the parking lot and see the goats grazing on the hill- rather than a riding mower buzzing away through the grass. Their is a cool gift shop. These folks are community minded and socially oriented and responsible citizens. Note all of the recycling that they do on the production floor. They were donating $1 from the sale of every pint and growler of their IPA sold in the month of October to the Puerto Rico relief effort. They have great beer, 2 flight options- make sure to take the tour. They charge $1 for the tour- or $3 for the tour with a tasting of 4 of their great beers.

As others have pointed out, Stone Richmond isn’t as elaborate over the top as some of their SD locations, but it’s still a pretty good time out. It’s located in an old industrial section not far from downtown. They have some pretty big lots though they aren’t exactly well marked. If you see a long chain linked bridge, then you’re in the right place. The taproom is smaller than I expected but they have a huge taplist, as well as their Berlin and Ice cream collabs, available in a variety of sizes for easy ticking. The staff was very friendly as well. I wish we could have spent more time there.

Nice, large brewery and taproom. Large parking lot with a walkway bridge leading to the entrance. Most of Stone’s staples and rotating IPAs on draft as well as one or two uncommon offerings. Bottles and cans available to go, including their Berlin collaborations. Worth a stop if you have time to kill in Richmond and enjoy Stone’s beers. Apparently they plan on adding a restaurant like their Bistro locations, will definitely return then.

Ok, this was an odd one. I put it in the GPA and found myself at the backside of what was obviously a brewery, but zero signage or indication of a public space. I drove around the whole damn thing and never saw any indication that it was actually Stone, or that the public could enter. I finally pulled into what seemed the likeliest parking lot, which was almost totally empty at 7PM on a Monday. There was a walking bridge from the lot to the building, and a little slate board with hours on it at the start of the bridge. I guess they are assuming their reputation will carry them? Anyway, walked up the bridge to what turned out to be a quite nice taproom, large and open, with two different bars and a fair bit of seating. A lot of stone beers available to go as well. Place was indeed nearly empty - there was another party of three there when I arrived, but they left leaving me to myself. Both bars had essentially the same taplist, and only one was open. There may be 50 taps, but other than special events I don’t think they ever serve anywhere near 50 beers. There were maybe 16 unique offerings when I was there, all stone brews. Nothing that was officially a Stone (Richmond) beer was on tap when I was there. Offerings ranged from the core lineup to things like 2013 Double Bastard. All were available as 5 oz pours or larger, and flights of four were available, although I did not ask if they were a set flight or you pick (the advertised flight worked for me as they were all new ticks, so I just got that). Beer quality is Stone. If you are on this site, you likely already have your own opinion what that means. All in all this was a really nice space, as would be expected from Stone Brewing. I think this will grow in to a real destination when the restaurant is running.

The first time we visited this place it was slammed. The second time we were able to get a beer and enjoy the location. They have two bars in the tasting room. One is more for growler fills just like in California. They also sell clothing. They have a refrigerator cabinet with a wide selection of their beers. I understand they are brewing at a 100,000 barrel rate at present and full capacity will be 600,000 barrels. They have also been producing and shipping their IPA.to help meet the West Coast demand. This is an exceptional facility. I look forward to the restaurant in 2019.
