98 Rating is for their web store, which I've used an embarrassing amount during quarantine. So Superstition mead is amazing. They deliver to most states and their webstore gets all kinds of great stuff. You can pay a little more for early access, but most important, mead is great and superstition mead is the best.
Expensive though. |
100 Very cool and cosy bar in the basement of a delicatessen store. I took two flights of twelve(?) 2 cl glasses of different styles of mead. They made me fall in love with melomels. The staff is very friendly and helpful. |

96 Visited on a Friday shortly after they opened. The place is kind of hard to find since it's entrance is actually inside another building. They had a sign on the sidewalk, but I didn't actually see it until we were almost to the first entrance we needed. My GPS said I was actually there about two blocks early, so be prepared for that to happen. The entrance is right across from the courthouse and you have to go in through a big cooking shop. Once you are inside, walk toward the staircase you can see toward the back and go downstairs. At this point you should see plenty of signage to help. Downstairs is like a high end wine bar, which it sort of is, just with mead. There is a large bar with some of the most comfortable barstools I have ever encountered, but also a lot of tables to choose from as well. The place never really got too busy, but I was there at an off time and they were still about half full. I could imagine they get slammed at high traffic times. The mead selection here is out of this world. All the meads and ciders are their own, but that means it all rules in my opinion. You can do flights of once ounce pours of anything they have in stock and purchase bottles of almost anything. Prices are on the menu and it was up to date for my visit. If you purchase a case, you do get a 10% discount. Service here is excellent as well. Both guys working checked up on us plenty of times and kept us hydrated with a new water bottle any time ours was empty. All things considered, this place is world class, and should be on any mead lovers bucket list! |
84 Stopped in at the pub and at the production place. The pub is very cool in the basement of a cool store. All the mead was great and lots of fun. |
100 Great place with a great meads. |

90 Easy to drive right by, the window is so small. Downstairs in a speakeasy type setting below a shop/coffeehouse. Fantastic all around - the food, décor, service. Meads were out of this world good, and though bottles are expensive, the flight was reasonable. |
92 Like Gene I had some trouble finding the place, visited just before closure and the other day just after they opened. Understandably almost no one inside, pleasant interior, wouldn’t mind spending couple of hours here. Quality of meads and cider was great. One of the reasons to visit Prescott and I wasn’t disappointed. Well worth visiting. |
96 Walk down into the basement of a high-end food boutique...jams, hot sauces, spices, oils, etc. up top but the good stuff is down below! Once in the lair, honeycombs and a long bar await. Dimly lit, but the barrels and demijohns of unique experimental concoctions loom in a small room behind you. Hard not to stare! A great opportunity to try their incredible selection without forking out an astronomical amount on a bottle. Believe me, the bottles are worth it but it takes a bit of discipline to make it through 750 ml. You MUST experience this if in the area...world-class! |
