92 I love it when breweries have taproom only offerings and Surly has more than I have ever seen. Huge well thought out place that lets you see their massive brewing facility through floor to ceiling windows. Good service, excellent experience overall. |
86 Great place, would have loved to have had more time to try more beers, and try pizza upstairs or regular menu downstairs. Only negative for me was some of the rarer stuff only came in full bomber, no draft, and those were 30 or 40 dollar bombers. My wife and I each got a different IPA and headed out. Parking was a zoo, but we managed to find a spot off the road. Uber may be a good route to go if you are close enough. |
82 An extra large spectacle could be a destination if you want to see what prestige can bring to a brewery. I didn't have an opportunity to try the food in the beer hall but it looked very appealing. The draft menu covers a wide variety of styles in case you want to sample a few different things. A few are even less uncommon - you'll not get stuck with pints of Furious unless you want them.
Overall I would return here for the beer but skip the food and eat elsewhere. |
76 Big beer hall on a massive property in an industrial yard. Ridiculous number of beers on tap, but sadly, no flight offered (what the hell?). Luckily, staff are friendly and will give free samples to compensate for this shitty lack of offering. Prices are frankly absurd, often charing $7 for a 10 oz of a standard beer. Worth visiting when in Minneapolis, but don't expect a ticker-friendly place. |
92 Fantastic beer and food selection. Huge number of tap room only offerings that were a real treat to try. Our server was very pleasant and helpful knowledgeable of their products understanding of where we were and and what we're looking for. Very modern industrial type setting great background music quality fixtures just a real first-class place. Its outstanding reputation is well-deserved. |

84 Huge crowded place, even a Monday night. Got table pretty fast, food was nice, service pretty quick. No flights and no bottles to go, but a nice big selection of draft and drink in bottles. |
70 This place is a circus on game day, which is what Jess and I stumbled into when visiting on our way to Northern Lights. Gigantic to the point of distraction. Pretty efficient, though, despite the masses of people, though no samplers and I didn't try the food. Multiple overflow lots of cars, so if you can use public transit or bike, go for it. |
80 The new place is vastly different from the old one. More of a Disneyland feel. Though if you sit outside, it feels like you are at a wedding reception. Food was decent. I would have liked more special small batch stuff on tap. No flights, which sucks. |
