56 This was the one highlight on a pretty poor visit to Buxton when the prime places were shut, damn Covid. The protection measures in place in here needed seeing to be believed. Every piece of beam had plastic sheeting hanging from it, the tables had perspex shield across them like oversized table tennis nets. The whole looked like a dodgy ghost train ride. It is a multi roomed pub, friendly and with an atmosphere despite the covid measures. Praise be there was an actual rating in here too, the beer was well kept and fresh. On a bleak day the one ray of sunshine. |
