Large bar with plenty of seats to belly up to and lots of other space to stand around…some other tables too, at least. They also have plenty of bar games and a stage for live music, though I would imagine the acoustics in here are terrible.

They have a full bar and plenty of beers on tap, but this is also the taproom for the Alligator Brewing beers. So, that’s neat… I thought the house beers were mostly just okay. Nothing great, but decent enough for the most part. A few kind of odd-ball ones that I didn’t end up trying and probably wouldn’t have liked.

Good service, though perhaps a bit slow. But, I’ll give the guy the benefit of the doubt since he was working the bar solo. Worth a stop as it’s pretty much right in the heart of the downtown area.

Stopped in April 2015. Sort of a dumpy place downtown with a funny smell. You can see some tiny fermenters if sitting at the bar. My bartender was prompt, friendly, and could speak to the beers nicely. Mostly guest taps with a few they make, which were surprisingly decent, as people had led me to believe otherwise. Worth a stop for the ticks, but not worth the stop if it’s out of your way or anything.

Very large, curvy bar, small stage game tables. Plenty of standing room. Excellent flatscreen display of available beers with glassware and prices indicated. One projection and 2-3 flatscreen TVs. 9 Alligator (in house) brews (flights of 5 available) + about 18 guest taps including CCB and Intuition.

i nice big cavernous place, complete with corner stage. nice selection of in house brewery, Alligator. only thing i didnt care for is they also serve liquor and wine, which meant it was packed with college students being loud and bumping into you as they get plastered. otherwise a nice place to get craft beer in gainesville.

Only stoppe in for a quick pint after work. Seems like it could be a fun atmosphere at night. Bartender was not knowledgable, telling me they had CCB Patio Pils, when it was actually Pario Tools (pils vs. stout should be a pretty easy differentiation). Decent tap selection with CCB and Ballast Point, among others.

Very fun place- an enormous garage like feel with very little decor at least when I was visiting. Small, nano brewery set up here like 7venth Sun. Loud, live music, tons of college kids, and a mediocre to surprising bottle list. House beers are all interesting- hopefully they will stay creative and improve. Definitely a night spot, just remember you’re in a mega college town.

For a bar in the downtown area of Gainesville, this one is pretty nice. Foremost, I have to say that parking for downtown sucks. Not Tall Paul’s fault, but something to consider. The front outside makes it seem like a small place, but it is quite spacious inside with room for a band and plenty of people. Sat at the bar; service was spot-on, but the place was not busy yet. Tried several house beers and they all were very unique and style-bending from a sour ginger beer to a mango red with real mangoes. Each beer seemed unique and not overpowering, but very nice experiences. Prices are good and almost make up for the parking situation.
