54 street parking and was easy find free parking. walked in and saw a dude with a Jackie O's hat. things went a little downhill after that. server was a little too "hands off" about helping us. I don't mind being left alone, but not that much. Beer list was big, but not too many beer styles I wanted (as in not enough even for a flight if they have that). food was good. I like the neighborhood and feel like this was a "necessary" corporate establishment to make the "less essential" ones possible. There is merit in that, but to some extent. maybe I was just in a bad mood. some of the other servers seemed more attentive |
70 Cool spot, fees like an old-fine brewpub but spruced up and modern feeling. Good taplist of house beers, with flights of 4 available for a pricey $12. Very friendly service. Didn’t order food, as there is nothing vegan, barely anything vegetarian. Beer quality was solid but nothing mind-blowing. If you’re in the neighbourhood and have time, it’s worth a stop. |
62 Very busy place with plenty of tourists. It was hard to get any spot by bar or table. Service was rushed and very neutral. Bonus - they do have sampler. |
80 Nice spot in the middle of a small shopping area. Limited parking nearby. Service was fast and friendly with several choices of limited beers as well as the standards. Food was excellent and a good value. Would like to spend a little more time here next time. |
72 Stopped in on a Thursday night in between some of the rock shows I was in town to see. There seemed to be an outdoor patio-ish area in front and inside felt like a pretty typical sports bar, almost...could just be that a lot of people were there watching the football game.
They had a lot of beers on tap (about a dozen house taps) so that was cool. You can do all of them in tasters as well, which is nice. Of course, we got the full set. Guest beers available, too. Beer quality was sort of up and down. Enjoyed a few of them but thought others were real misses. Didn’t really look at the food menu at all, but seemed like kind of what you’d expect for an older brewpub like this. The server working the bar was friendly enough, though I thought service was kind of lackadaisical and slow...though I will give them the benefit of the doubt for being busy and the fact that I ordered 12 tasters... It’s an easy enough place to visit if you’re in Ybor City, but it’s not worth going out of your way just to come here. |
82 Second visit. First one was maybe 5 years ago. Selection had not changed much. Some seasonals available. Beer quality above average. Service above average. Nice bar area. Beer garden like area out front. Large table area available. Very nice place. |
78 Convenient to downtown area via street car, but this is the kind of place that seems to thrive on being right in the middle. Ok food. Ok beer, but nothing exceeds the level of ok. |
78 Great atmosphere and food. The beer is average, nothing special but, You can build flights for $1.50 per 4 oz pour. It’s easy to try everything. About 8 of their own brews available with a few taps for guest beers and a full liquor bar. The Cuban sandwich is excellent and the Bomb burger with pizza dough is a must. Outdoor bar, brewpub style seating with the fermenters, friendly service. Cool spot. |
74 The good points: service was fast, friendly and very helpful. Should note our table was right next to the back side bar. The food was very good with large portions. I had the meatloaf wrapped in bacon sitting on a bed of cheddar cheese mashed potatoes, very tasty.
The bad points: the beer was below average to average at best. I sampled 7 brews and not one I would want to return for. The feel of the beer is a tad out dated. They were out of cask condition ales and the imperial stout. Not one extreme beer offering. |
66 Large venue with both indoor and outdoor seating including a large table for large parties. 8 regular taps [although out of one on my visit] plus 3 seasonals. Good service but understaffed for the large mid week lunch crowd. Food looked good. Large pub atmosphere. Flatscreen TVs available but not featured. |
