72 Muy céntrico, decorado con madera y muchos carteles de breweriana. La oferta de cerveza que tiene es un poco limitada. No obstante un muy buen sitio para visitar de bido a la antiguedad del local. |
72 Cosy place with a lot of unusual artifacts & brewerania dotted around the place. A couple of good finds. |
76 Good location, and classic ambiance - a genuine brown pub, clearly with a bit of history.
Range wasn’t that impressive but had a couple of unusual items, though not listed anywhere.
Prices were about the highest I’ve seen in Belgium - I don’t understand how there’s so much variance from one side of the road to the other. |
76 A great brown cafe, along a small side street by the cathedral, in the centre of Liege. Not a massive selection of beers, but a few interesting ones, and by far the best atmosphere I have found in any bar in Liege. The activity is mainly focussed around the nice old bar, which in Wallonia is not so common. The place is made up of 3 small rooms, and the furniture and ’brownness’ reflect that it has just recently celebrated its 125 year anniversary. On my last visit, they were serving Quintine blond on draught, which was a first for me, and absolutely delicious. It’s not always obvious what beers they have, some can be seen in the firdge standing in the passage, but my Quintine came out of a Hoegarden pump...so well worth enquiring what specials are on offer! |
