78 Entering The Dutch Trading Co the bar area is dimly lit with the front area containing solid wooden trestles and tables as well as lounges. Beer memorabilia adorn all the walls throughout the place – a short beer can wall is a feature upon entry while the back bar has a more extensive can display. There were 23 taps on serving in 266ml, 385ml, 518ml and jugs, all Perth craft beer priced. Check out the couple of fridges that house a range of takeaway can/bottles as there is quite a selection. Wine, cider and spirits are also available. The venue is family friendly and the staff were friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable. Worth a visit. |
90 Surprisingly big yet cosy bar (love how it sprawls through several zones which you'd be unaware of unless you went looking. Fantastic line-up across 22 taps, with generously priced tasting paddles. The fridges of takeaway are mindboggling. Not sure I've seen a better lineup in Melbourne (comparable to Carwyn Cellars). My burger was yum. And I walked back to the CBD afterwards (it's a straight line at least). |
88 Inside it's like a groovy aging Melbourne cafe/bar (North Melbourne more than Fitzroy). Outside though it's like a boring Brisbane suburb (specifically Moorooka). But....great music, pool table, and a fantastically large range of beer on tap and in the fridge. Owner was a great guy and paddles started at $10! Food was really really good. Perth is not one of the world's great public transport cities. So getting the bus here at 6PM not a problem but getting one back to the CBD after 8PM? One bus an hour through a suburb only 4 km from the city! You must visit this place, just get a taxi home. |
90 A telaxing and unpretentious place run by a great guy who knows beer and has a constant array of exciting stuff on tap and in the fridges, food is well above par |
100 Hands down one of the best craft beer venues in Australia. The team here are passionate beer people and it shows in the service you receive and the conversations that are often had.
18 taps. All of them true craft.
Come get some! |
92 Ever changing tap list which makes me happy, passionate and knowledgeable staff! |
94 From the huge beer list ranging from local small batch releases to goblets of Cantillon Zwanze, Joel has put together exactly what the Western Australia craft scene needed. A wide range of craft on tap, frequent events and a packaged take-away fridge, this is easily WA’s premier craft beer bar. |
88 Awesome set up in Vic Park, Ever rotating goodness on a big tap range with bottle/can selection that is hard to pass up. Food was solid with good choices for myself. Attended a "meet the brewer/supplier" at DTC, was excellent. |
