Visited May 2014. Situado al lado de la catedral. Enorme, con mucho ambiente. Las cervezas pegan con ese estilo de ambiente, muy normalitas pero divertidas para un día de fiesta.

Sunday after Borefts 2019. Great visit, quite a few taps both keg and cask. British style pub which was good for both tickers and not. Good food, enjoyed my visit a lot and would go back if in Den Haag.

Update 6th August 2019 a decent selection of bottled beer with few surprises (yet). The selection keeps growing. They have 5 of their own beers on cask (6.90 a pint so expensive) and 3 on tap. Free WiFi

English pub in downtown Den Hague. Used to meet some friends here from time to time, good place for large groups and especially if you’re into watching football games upstairs. That said it’s a bit of a hotspot for the average pubcrawler and not really a craft oriented place. The homebrews are decent at best, completely off at worst. Bottle list of at least 50 bottles, mostly classics, probably or possibly a new tick if you dig hard, but nothing really exciting. Used to like it in my early twenties, don’t care so much for this place now anymore (15 yrs later). Classic Den Haag pub though. Tip! If some particular homebrew is unavailable on tap downstairs, try upstairs (and vice versa).

A large place with big terrace right next to the big church in the centre of the Hague. Big bottle list, though the choice is somewhat poor. About 8 of their own brews on tap, decently priced and also available in differently sized flights. Helpfull staff. All seems very fine, except for the beers that are not bsd but pretty mediocre. Still a good choice to sit down and have a beer.n

We visited The Fiddler on Sunday 2nd October 2016, we came in here more to get out of the rain than anything else today as the weather was pretty dreadful today. The Fiddler is reasonably centrally located I guess it’s a large corner pub on Riviervismarkt and Schoolstraat and sits facing a large church.

It really is a big place by your normal Dutch standards, lots of wood, seating both on the ground floor and first floor (toilets upstairs as well) and a few large screens for sport. We sat by the window looking out at the rain and church. Service at this time of day (just after midday) was brisk and friendly as it was so quiet.

Beer choice on tap appeared to be just their own beers on cask handpump and keg. I never looked at the bottle list. The beers were ok but nothing special. You get the sense that this place is going to get left behind if it doesn’t move with the times. It’s got a great location, it’s a big place, but selling UK style beers that taste like beers of yesteryear in a fast paced and changing beer world seems utterly daft to me. We came here to avoid the rain and get our bearings as much as anything, the rain had now stopped so we headed off. One plus point, the music seemed quite good with Steelers Wheel ’Stuck in the middle with you’, Dylan and a bit of Zep’ also getting a run out.

Rather large English-style brewpub with lots of wooden interior including barrels as tables. Nice atmosphere here, but it was also not really crowded during my visit. I got a tasting flight with six of their taps (only five of them really fitted into it) for a reasonable price. Besides their own beers, there are some macro beers available. The bottle list is rather extensive though, with lots of Belgian, German and English classics, but also many Dutch micros on it. Prices for them are a bit high maybe, but other than that it’s quite a nice selection (no rarities though). Service was friendly and quick. Nice pub, would come here again, although their own beers were not that great.

Big place with lots of wood. Good atmosphere in the late evenings, lots of internationals. TVs every here and there showing sports. Their own beers from casks, food seems good and service is friendly. High prices. Beers are average I’d say but after a couple of pints they become better :) I don’t know, it’s okay I guess but I would visit only when something new is available.

Visited on Saturday 26/09/15 around 9pm for the Rugby World Cup game as much as the ticks. Had previously visitied in 2006. The place was booming but we managed to pinch a table that didn’t have the greatest view of the rugby. The place is set up for live sports and a Spanish football game was being shown upstairs with multiple screens both large and small on each level. Beer wise they brew their own which are of an English theme and on cask in the most part ... all a bit twiggy and basic but I’ve had worse. We also came across a few Belgian and Spanish ticks in bottle. The decoration here is a little tired, kind of stuck in the 90’s old skool US brewpub, dark with lots of wood. Service wasn’t bad bearing in mind the crowds. Overall worth a visit for a ticker to pick off their own brews but don’t be expecting anything great.
