Fairly standard liquor store attached to a grocery store. Few fridges of four packs and mixed packs, with a few local options. A few single bottles, though nothing local, primarily European stuff. Got myself a few WY four packs, so worth the stop, but not particularly exciting.

Solid liquor store next to Albertsons. Good bottle beer selection and a growler station in the back. Probably the best shop in the town.

Beside Albertsons. Very good selection of single bottles. Lots of sours. Staff is very knowledgeable. Has to be one of the best in the area.

A liquor store next to Albertsons. Decent selection of local microbrews but most of the Melvin beers only in 6-packs. Some 12oz bottles and cans also as singles. Reasonable prices. Not the place you want to visit every week.

Had my heart set on Thai Me Up, but those dudes don’t open until 5:00 pm and we still had 5 hours of driving ahead of us. Luckily, these folks had Melvin cans, which was enough to make me (and my wife) happy. Place is attached to an Albertson’s (thanks for that detail, phaleslu). Beer selection looked small, but I was on a mission and didn’t give it thorough look. Didn’t strike me as anything special as far as a destination goes, but for all I know it’s the best shop for miles around. Definitely met my needs at any rate.

One of the few places to grab a good set of brews in Jackson. It’s not great, but it’s one of the best around, so deal dude. They tend to hoard the 50% range crap, and I’m like, "You fools! I want me some top 3% shiznit up in this piece!" THEY DIDN’T EVEN HAVE CANTILLON WTF. What they did have were some growler fills, a decent selection with SOME available as singles, lots of Rocky Mountain region shizz, Wyoming, Idaho, Colorado, Utah. Service is good and they gave me a bunch of wine tastings for free, but the downside of wine you may not realize is that it’s not beer. Ambiance is normal, but who cares, I just wanna tick!

The Liquor Store & Wine Loft is actually attached to an Albertson’s grocery store in Jackson. There’s a separate entrance, although I did see a small door in the grocery store itself. You have to check out separately, which seems to be influenced by a goofy state law or something (just a guess). There’s plenty of wine in the loft area and a decent beer selection for a grocery store. Lots of regional cans and bottles in packs, some singles/mix-a-six - which was actually one of the better deals - and a small section of large-format bottles. The prices struck me as very high, but I did build a couple six packs for about $10.50 apiece. I’m not sure I’d recommend it, but I can’t vouch for the other options in town. I might try Bin 22 or something like that next time.

A nice selection of bombers, build-your-own six packs of 12 oz bottles and growler fills from several taps make this store worth a visit when in Jackson. Update August 2017: After two years in Jackson, I have not found a better selection and it is one of the few (if not the only) place in town that sells 12 oz. singles. I have seen Deschutes The Abyss, including barrel-aged variants, and Bourbon County Stout sit on the shelves for weeks. They now have an extensive selection of Crooked Stave along side some hard-to-find local beers. I go in, on average, once a week, and always find something new to try. It also has a huge selection of wine and spirits And, for the record, this place is completely independent of Albertson’s, even though it is located next door.

This place looks to be attached to a grocery store but ends up separate. Interesting mountain town entrance to the place with double automatic door openings, must be a snow-thang. Pretty nice looking albeit crowded space where there is limited singles and really nothing except two from Snake River that I’ve had before. I was hoping to see a larger in-state singles selection but it kind of sucks. There is a decent assortment of in-state six packs but good lord are they expensive. Nearly hop free ambers and craft lagers going for $14 per six. Wow. Too much for me considering what they are and at that price how long have they been languishing away here? No way to tell. They did have a growler fill station but I didn’t have a chance to look into it as they had all of their distributors here clogging up all of the aisles (including the growler fill area) during my visit. Not sure how expensive growlers will be. I will try this place again for a possible growler fill if I’m staying in the area but I see little reason to stop here for WY brewed bottled or canned beer

October 2012: Pretty nice selection of beer. Several taps. Lots of local micros, and a few good imports. October 2013: Noticeable drop in beer variety. Not as many rare bottles.
