64 A nice enough basement venue with 18 or so taps of largely their own brews. What we had were nice and would be keen to try some others. The venue itself was pleasant enough - although the music selection is pretty bad and loud (unless you like cheesy American top 40 tracks). Ultimately I might give it another chance but given the range of other places now serving good beer in Seoul I'm not sure I will. |
78 Cool basement with comfortable interesting decor. Friendly helpful staff but glad I had a fluent Korean speaker with me. 18 beers on tap, mostly their own. The few I had were good. There is food but I didn’t try it. Music is interesting but a bit loud. Pretty empty early evening on a Saturday. |
80 Fun place. In a sort of basement. Had a lot of taps, and some really new styles (Brut IPA). Great service. Didn't eat here, but looked nice. The beers were pretty solid. Enjoyable. |
48 The Table, cellar brewpub in Seoul. Rustic rundown place. Everything has seen their best days long time ago. No flights. Free WiFi. Rough service. DIPA was excellent but IPA was meh. |
74 Used to be a proper brewpub, now just a brewery pub - all production facilities were moved out of the city. What remains are several tanks that a still used for storage of some beers. However that’s the best place to drink beers from Table Brewing Co. - they got an impressive selection of 16 brews and they all are pretty decent. The interior can seem a bit rundown, but I liked it, especially the concept of the giant table in the middle of the main hall. Very decent place to visit. One of my Seoul favs. |

72 The Table is a huge underground brewpub though they now have a production brewery in a Seoul suburb. Pints are a reasonable 5500-6000 each. There’s a small brewery in an unobtrusive glass walled room. It’s a basement bar near Jonggak Station a short walk from Gwangwhamun. Once you get down the stairs there’s a room on the right that houses the eponymous massive Table and a new extension on the left houses more seating and a small enclosed brewing area. Staff were a bit curt but all in all ok, I think they mostly get Koreans here but their beers were nice and they brew for Pyrus & Magpie so you know they do good stuff. 8 taps of their house brews, no tasters though they might do samples if you ask nice. |
