70 We came here on 18.8.2017. A really nice surprise. This small vegetarian restaurant is located in downtown Harrisburg and has a brewery in the basement. They had 4 beers on tap including a good Lager and a tasty Chili Kölsch. Food was great too. Also liked the ambience of this place, good music and nice service. Will come back. |
72 Formerly known as Crave, which I visited a year or two ago, this has pretty much the same food menu as before (all vegetarian, and most things either are vegan or can be easily adjusted to be so), but as of this year they now have a nano brewery in the basement, operated on weekends by a brewer whose day job is software development. It’s a half-barrel system apparently, so there are only three beers to choose from, but I have no problem with that if the beer is made well. And while they do plan to make beers with vegetables or fruit or spices given the restaurant association (one of the three on tap when I visited was a strong Belgian beer with apples and squash, which of course I scrolled past), the two hoppy beers (sans adjuncts) were seemingly flaw-free, so that bodes well for future offerings. The food is wonderful (I love both the tacos and the protein bowl), the vibe is hip/cool, there is some outdoor sidewalk seating, and the staff are happy/polite folks. Due to the small beer selection and the likelihood of at least one of them being a novelty fruit/veg/spice beer, it’s perhaps not a place for a ticker who wants a sampler tray with 12 beers to rate from 2oz pours, but if you’re vegan like myself and want to try a solid brew or two ($6 for 12oz), it’s a cool stop. |
