The Wetlands

Signage lies - They don’t brew, but have 30 taps. Sports bar full of locals. Not really a pace to go unless you have no choice. No samplers and frosted glasses.

The Wetlands isn’t really the kind of bar that shows up on Ratebeer. It is sort of a dive bar - they have video poker and a huge tropical fishtank and lots of TVs. But occasionally they have some fantastic taps. They regularly tap Ninkasi, Deschutes, HUB, and other regional craft breweries. Today I am inspired to add them to Ratebeer because they are currently (January 2011) carrying The Abyss on tap, a real rarity even in this area. The servers are great, very friendly. The atmosphere stinks. The food is on the poor side of average. The patio is decent. The taps are pretty good. Every once in a while it’s a real gem.
