60 Decent food, better than the beer list. Very crowded but we snuck in and got a table. We had high beer expectations on this trip and this place was below that line for beer. |
68 Had dinner here with John, Anne and Patty. Normal pub food. Decent beer list. After having Red's lobster roll, all others can't live up to them. same here. This place seems more crowded than other places. Must be doing something better. |
50 Stopped in here with my wife while doing a walking tour of as many of the beer bars in Bar Harbor. Very limited taps. There’s definitely better selections elsewhere in Bar Harbor. Total of 14 taps, a couple of them being macros. The craft stuff is all lower tier craft stuff, the most common and least exciting options generally from Sam Adams, Cisco, DFH, Atlantic, Peak, Shed. Since the beer menu wasn’t very exciting, we only stayed for one beer and split a salad while there. The house dressing was pretty awesome though, some sort of a buttermilk and scallion thing which was very tasty. I’m guessing it was bottled and not made in house, but it was still good. So there. However, unless you’re trying to hit every place in Bar Harbor, I would skip this one.

68 I visited the Thirsty Whale while in town for my wedding. There is normal pub food that was enjoyable. They do have a great lobster roll. While we were there, there was great live music at night that went well with a good beer selection. |
64 Normal bar with a nice selection of local beers. food was typical bar fare and some seafood items. portions were large. nice place. I’d go back. |
66 Visited multiple times. A nice place in Bar Harbor that keeps its prices fair and has a nice selection. The array of food is typical bar food with a bit more seafood. Overall a good place where there are so many other over priced places that offer less all around. |
