Thrash Zone Meatballs

I guess the bar had been opened for a few months already when I got around to visiting. Feels scruffy and rough around the edges which I suppose fits the TZ theme. Only two of their own beers pouring. The meatballs were fine enough although they were also out of bread when I ordered. Strange place really. Hope it improves in time but for now there are much better bars to get your drink on in Yokohama.

Similar vibe as the original bar. Great pricing, great punchy hoppy brews. Unfortunately, they only had a couple house beers on tap and were out of bread for the tasty meatballs. Weird addition to the Kannai scene as it feels half-operational at this stage. Google map needs to get fixed!

Great prices in Japan. Nice to be able to drink Thrash Zone brews in Kannai now as well. Still not enough taps on (only 2 TZ beers on when we visited). Meatballs were awesome. Love the minimal atmosphere as well. Just needs more beer on tap. The ratebeer map is correct but Google maps is wrong.

Much better than in years past when I went. 4 of their beers plus 4 others, cheap as hell. Good meatballs are a lot of fun, can get a sub too. Love it. Dive bar all the way.

Finally had the meatballs last night (just came out last month). What I like about this place is the awesome food - you MUST get the meat balls in a sub, which is great value at 700 yen. What I don’t like is there was only four taps on last night (three TZ and Lagunitas IPA). Compared to the original location the list is much smaller. We would have stayed longer if there were more taps on. I kinda like the atmosphere here better than the original, but they need MORE TAPS!!!! I will reasses in the future and score higher if I can consistently see more taps.

A second branch for Thrash Zone located in Kannai near a lot of other beer bars. Not so many taps on at the moment but there is plenty of room for expansion. Beers are 50/50 their own and US imports. Pretty much the same as the other place in most other ways except they serve ’extreme meatballs’ here. Or at least will do soon.
