ThrashZone along with Yorocco are 2 must-stops for people hitting the Kanagawa area. TZ beers were great, the atmosphere was fun and layout simple. There are other beers on tap but why bother? Drink the TZ beers for sure. Non-smoking.

I love this place! As simple as it gets bar area with huge tasting strong beers & grinding heavy metal in background. A true heaven for metal & beer maniac. Beer-wise - 6 brews produced by it’s own nano-brewery several blocks away + some guests. All beers here are heavy, hence the slogan "Extreme beer for extreme people". 6 TZ (out of 7) brews were available upon my visit and all were real deal. My top choices were Speed Kills & Hop Deicide, however all other their beers are great too. Fantastic place! Metal up your ass!!!

Small craft beer bar, that plays only extreme fucking metal music (and that’s a plus). They brew their own beers and have some extra guest kegs. Good variety and fair prices. The owner/barman was a bit moody the day we went there so we only had a couple of pints and headed towards the next one.

First of all, the T-shirt (F - Thrash Zone Yokohama B- Extreme Beer Only) is a must. A tiny bar that is very hard to find, they brew their own as well as a selection of others (Green Flash at the time). Metal playing on TVs continuously, it IS the Thrash Zone after all. Very courteous owner, we emailed Koichi-san to find the freaking place as Google Maps had us off by a block or so.

Pretty small bar not too far from Yokohama Station. Stayed at Hotel Camelot while in Yokohama so it was a convenient 5 minute walk. Actually visited twice in the same day, once after 3 PM and again around 10 PM.

Small beer list with 5 of their house beers on at the time and 1 guest beer (Green Flash) on. Half and full pints available for pretty good prices. Beers are higher ABV except for their Frontside Grind collaboration which was under 4%.

Food is just french fries with a choice of sauce. Fries seem to be hand-cut and were pretty tasty. Tried them with the West Coast IPA mayo which mostly just tasted like regular mayo.

Friendly service, the bearded bartender that was working at 3 PM was friendly but pretty quiet. At 10 PM, there was a different bartender who I assume is the owner. Good service with him too and he was happily chatting with the locals/regulars.

Well worth a stop in Yokohama, maybe bring a buddy or two to help tackle the beers if you’re looking to rate everything.

I guess I like "extreme" beers because I loved the selection here. The bar has a nice lively atmosphere, with some people stopping in for a quick drink and others settled in for a long session. The food menu is limited to french fries, but these are nicely prepared and come with a choice of sauce so you get a bit of variety on repeat visits. I’m not a big fan of heavy metal, but I didn’t mind the music; it added a certain energy to the atmosphere. The bartender was friendly enough without overdoing it. My favorite beer bar in Yokohama so far.

A legendary temple for beer loving metalheads! As soon as you cross the door, you enter the Thrash Zone with its underground livehouse/studio vibe. Great selection of tasty house hopbombs (for an unbeatable 700 yen a pint) and top-notch West Coast hoppy brews. Extreme beers match well with the Thrash metal live videos rocking the place \m/ Can get a bit out of control late in the evening with alcohol flowing but all in good spirit like in a festival moshpit :)

Another disappointment of my trip, I don’t know if I did or said something but while I was with friends of the owner/bartender who introduced me I never got a smile out of the guy, hell he barely spoke to me. I heard he can sometimes be moody like that, I definitely caught him in some kind of mood. Anyways, after being told it is a tiny standing place I was surprised by the high ceilings in a bare bones concrete room with a long L-shaped bar that comfortably seats 20. The area behind the bar is quite large a good 1-2m so you might not get a seat but can probably find a place to stand. I like metal, hell I met Kerry King & Megadeth so the music was cool just the service was a shocking disappointment. Good beer though.
