68 About a 5 minute walk, if that, from Cigar City. They have a few taps that you can get growler fills from and if you can convince them (we did) they are willing to give samples...decent beer selection including a few gems from wakefield and other interesting places. But I don't really get the pricing - some stuff was really cheap and some was stupidly overpriced - think you just need to know your beer and normal prices to figure out what is worth spending money on. |
74 Same as most Total Wines. Copped a few cans here after Cigar City just to try some interesting stuff, though they didn't seem to have much of a local focus. Lots of singles as usual. |
90 they had a lot of beers down there this past weekend and there were quite a lot of florida brews some with 80 and even 90 point ratings for $1.99 a 12ounce bottle! and others that were good beer for $2.29 i mean hey that’s love AIN’T IT! No wonder God let the Buccaneers beat the Seahawks. I was in a hotel full Seahawk fans it was sick cause i had to be nice since they were. not a typical t/w as it seems a bit dated. but a beer buyers haven. GO NY GIANTS |
76 Found some decent stuff but the organization was a bit weird. |
76 Pretty much like all the Total Wine locations I’ve been to on the west coast...
Big warehouse type store with a large selection of all sorts of beers and other adult beverages. They have the usual singles/build your own sixer section as well as four/six packs and larger format bottles (22 oz/ 750 ml). Not really knowing what the typical selection is at a Florida bottle shop, I’m not sure I can really comment on the quality of the offerings. But, as a visitor, they had a lot of things I’d never had or seen before, and plenty of breweries that are sort of unknown outside of the local area, at least to me. So, you can definitely rack up some ticks here (which I did). Prices are fine and it’s basically around the corner from Cigar City, so easy enough to get to. |
80 Great shop very friendly staf loads of beers. Not really the special ones but loads of quality. I found (thx knickskicks) a new country and multipels of other rare ones. Also a great selection of belgian, german (weisse and bamberg) and very nice Canadians. Easy to access with car or walking if u are at the CCB brewery. I can’t judge price level - but seems OK, some of the foreign once were a wee bit pricey. |
78 A big old liquor store with a selection of beer that would present a fair few options for the average beer geek. Not a lot of really special stuff on offer but plenty of regional obscurities. Good value. This place is a short walk from Cigar City so if you’re in the vicinity you should step in here to pick up a few bottles. |
70 A typical warehouse-style Total Wine outlet. The selection of beer available was pretty middle-of-the-pack for the chain. On the upside, some CCB stuff that wasn’t available at the brewery was being sold here, so it’s worth checking out if you strike out at the brewery. Prices were decent, service was non-existent. Overall, nothing to get excited about, but it’s worth having a look in. |
62 Looks like your average Total Wine. Big selection of stuff from around the U.S. and some imports. Decent selection of locals. Nothing really stood out for me so I left empty-handed. Service was there if you needed it but mostly passive. Okay prices. Okay stop if you have time to kill I guess. |
74 Your typical big box store. It could be more well lit, seems a bit dark. Also, the beer aisles are almost always a mess. |
