U Pětníka

Hospudka U Petníka is on a corner building 1.3kms to NW from Hradcanská Metro. Interior is dark wooden with dark bricks and other designs, giving me somewhat feeling if an irish inn. Unéticke pivo. Czech cuisine. Easygoing and cozy. Vitejte.

Just walk here from Marpek through the (nice) neighborhood, or take the green line to Dejvická, then one stop to Lotýšská and walk a bit to the right into the quarter, hard to miss. Though you won't be going "especially" for this place. A classic, if nicely decorated, Czech restaurant, as Camons said. Únetické 10 in 12 are regulars, along with some Prazdroj stuff. People actually buying Únetické to go, then moving on to the nice park nearby as the patio was full. You can easily chill in the park and grab beers here, which can be fun. The "special" was Únetické's very much meh 10.7° (for me meh), under its Slamník guise (usually renamed at a nearby restaurant), in pretty good shape. People are eating there. Service... well.. apparently they had some internal issues in the kitchen, and did not even ask about returning my 5kc change, but otherwise professional. Dunno. Skippable, unless you're really itching for Ú and a meal in this quarter. And it has wi-fi, a rarity in this quarter really.

Visited after seeing the Stará Cistírna Old Waste Water Treatment Plant and having a handpumped beer at Marpek-Whisky. It is a traditional, local Czech restaurant with solid and good food. They have Pilsner Urquell ans Uneticke on draught. The menue is in Czech. The staff spoke English well and the meal was quickly delicered. My Uneticke Svetly Lezak was not in top nick.

Classic Czech restuarant, loads of dark wood, small room with the bar to the left, kitchen behind it as you enter, but there s another 2 rooms behind, so larger than it looks at first. 6 tap's, Uniticke including a bock i havent had. We didnt eat, but table next to us was served some very tasty looking burgers, so maybe worth a try. Cheap prices and good service.

Very good place for good and cheap food with Czech pilsener. The true hospoda!!
