67 Was unprepared for this, as I was just looking for a bottle shop. Coll little brewery with a laidback vibe. Nice selection of brews, very hop focused. Flights an option, no food. Steps from the 46th St light rail station. Pre-canned crowlers available. |
76 This is a weird one. Literally at a light rail station. Parking is actually OK because they have dedicated spaces in the light rail lot. No food, but a food truck was outside on Wednesday night. Nice space inside, open and airy. The bar is weird in that it extends beyond a pillar and is two-sided after said pillar. Basically almost a high table at the end of the bar. Fine except that it is a bit out of sight out of mind to the wait staff and I had a hard time getting their attention. Beers served in flight sizes, individually priced, which is good. Beers ranged from pretty good to mediocre. The Grodziskie was straight up smoked bologna, which is not a great thing. Anyway, worth a stop. |
92 Located directly at a light rail stop, Venn has been my beer highlight so far on my first visit to Minneapolis. The inside is spacious and stark, but comforting and modern feeling. "Blockbuster Night pt. 2" played on the speakers coinciding perfectly with my arrival, so bonus points for that. There were a bunch of patrons here, but service was still efficient and friendly. The beer list had an inordinate amount of lighter styles for the last snowy throes of winter, but that's what I was in the mood for anyway. Everything I drank was spot on and very well executed. They fill growlers and have crowlers to go as well, which made it easy to stock up the hotel room for the night. Good pint prices. I'm very satisfied with my visit and given its highly convenient location, I may be back before this trip is over. |
74 A good sized taproom with a modern feel and a few TVs. Place was packed on my visit but service was relatively prompt at the bar. A nice selection of beers with 15 beers and flights available. No food on site. Prices seem in line with the area. A solid brewery worth the occasional visit. |
74 Pretty awesome start for these guys! I'm here on day 5 after their opening, and they have 15 beers on, most are good to very good (just a couple clunkers). Build your own flights. Reasonable pricing. Parking is limited but I found street parking close by. |
