66 Large place, feeling like a grungy warehouse / dive bar—like the front of a slaughterhouse. Smells prominently like meat, so as a vegan, this isn’t the most pleasant environment. Loud shitty music playing - I was hoping for some metal here. 20+ taps, all Warpigs; but only one fucking size pour (0.4L). What’s the deal with that? Especially when the price of beer requires a second mortgage in this country. They do have a flight option, which I only learned about on my second visit - but this is pre-set with 6 taps, and comes with a lot of their most boring beers for the outrageous price of 155 DKK. Beer quality itself on the more interesting styles is very good, so that’s where all the marks in my rating come from, as I can’t stand much else about the place. |

80 Warpigs is located in the meat-packing district, in a nice square (the day I went, there was an event with a big stage). Lots of people enjoying drinks in many bars in this area. The place is rather large, with big tables. A little bit of queuing at times for the beers. One problem: the bar offers also food, in the form of grilled meat (ribs, etc.), and sometimes, because the cooking area is not isolated from the bar, intense smell/aroma pervades the bar, confusing the tasting experience. 22 taps, some with differently aged versions of the same beer (Smoldering holes, in my case). Nice idea! |
76 Big place located with creepy/scary post-slaughterhouse ambiance, decent selection. I have not tried food. Nice metal/rock music plaing in background yet sometimes it is bit loud to talk. |

Warm evening had the tables outside filled, brew day with warm and humid inside feeling made it sweaty to be inside.
Separate lines and registers for food and beer, but apparently you can also order beer when paying for your food, though I did not.
Got in line for food, grab a tray, tell the guy what meat and size you want, then pay for it.
The person at the register looks at it and tells you what to pay, I didn't realize until I sat down that I got quite over charged, but couldn't be bothered to go back. Just when you order food, check what you're going to pay and ask directly if they charge too much what the supposed difference is.
Had two various meats for dinner, then got in the line for beer and had two different.
Mainly metal music playing.
Not a long walk from the central train station.
Heard many good things about this place, perhaps that is why I got a tad bit disapointed on my visit. I'll likely go back at least once more though, when in CPH again. |
