74 Chandler is about 30 minutes from downtown PHX, so seeing the ratings, I figured I had to come, but did not leave particularly impressed. Good Whole Foods selection, not sure it’s better than other Whole Foods I’ve been in and definitely not sure I’d make a big detour to visit that one versus other stores in the PHX area to seek bottles. |
8 This place is a disaster, the employees look as though they just had their dog run away. |
74 Typical Whole Foods, if you’ve been in one. Solid amount of locals and lots and lots of beer from places other than AZ. This place is rated kind of highly in my opinion, but had to check it out as I was in the area. |

72 Good selection for the Greater Phoenix area. Reasonable selection of bottles, though almost nothing from AZ, so don’t expect that. I don’t get how this is the top rated place in the area; Sun Devil is superior - go there instead. |

76 Ok, when the highest rated bottle shop in an area is a Whole Foods, it is worth checking out. I will say that this is a super nice Whole Foods. Clean, well layed out, lots and lots of cool shit inside. They had about 4 Superstition meads in the wine section, which is nice. Beer selection was about standard for a whole foods in my experience. Nothing Earth shattering, but a good selection of bombers, mostly refrigerated. It did not appear that multi-packs were breakable. So far, about par for the course for a WF. Now the bar. That is a nice touch. We just got our first in Silicon Valley, and it is a much toned down affair to the 32 tap behemoth that presented itself. Nothing outlandish on tap, but a solid list. I can’t see myself coming to whole foods to drink, but a beer while shopping seems like a perfectly fine idea. Is this place a 95? No. Is it solid? Yes. |
86 La section bière est impressionnante et cette succursale cache un bar tout aussi bien garni. Pour refaire le plein de bouteilles et prendre quelques verres, c’est un arrêt obligé. |
84 I don’t really know how to rate the ambiance, since it is a grocery store, but it is impressive to have a bar with such a good selection of beer on tap. The fact that it is in a grocery store makes it pretty cool. Most in Ohio have 4-6 taps, but nothing like this. Lots of California and Arizona beer, plus Amager, Dieu Du Ciel and Belgians occasionally on tap. A little more expensive than bars, but nothing extreme. The bottle selection in the grocery store part is very good too. |
84 Very nice selection for a grocery store. And they had a bar with like 30 beers on tap! You don’t see that in many states. I ended up doing most of my beer shopping at Total Wine because of the incredible amount of singles available I hadn’t tried. Definitely worth a stop here too though! |
