72 Wild Waves is a one room brewery tap that focuses on American style sour and all Brett hoppy beers. It’s quite the ambitious approach for such a young beer market but clearly aimed for the beer nerd crowd. I found the Brett driven beers had kicked off noticeable off flavours. The hoppy sours are more forgiving and worthy of a full glass on my visit. These ’wild-style’ brews do show potential and credit to them for having the balls to go all in with these kind of beers. A cool little hangout with guest taps and snack food available. |
88 If you are a Korean craft beer fan, this is the must visit place for you. The ambiance is nice, small and cozy. I really liked talking with the bartender. The beers are one of the best in Korea. The bottle price is reasonable, especially Rochfort 10. The samplers are really cheap too. Love this place! |
72 In the former 6 Pack Tap House & Bottle Shop is Wild Waves new taproom. How to get here according to their Facebook: "Get off at Geumyeonsan Station and take exit 1or 3. Follow the road towards the beach about 100m, we are located at the crossroads ." The wood exterior continues inside and the packed former shop has become surprisingly spacious with a series of long booths on the left and low mood lighting. The taplist is up on a giant flatscreen TV and another shows photos from beer travel. Staff speak English and most beers are brewed at Akitu. Beers are 8000 KRW for a 3 beer tasting set and 15000 for 6. Also pints in the 8-9000 won range. |
