WIZ Craft Beer and Food

Small bar in Kanda. It is in the ground floor of a large building and there is plenty of outdoor seating in an open pavillion. Inside there is bar and table seating. It was quiet and mostly empty on a Sunday late afternoon. They had about 20 taps, mostly Japanese (a couple other imports). There is a food menu but I didn’t get anything. Definitely a solid place to get a variety of Japanese crafts. Not particularly memorable but gets the job done.

Decently sized place in what I think is Chiyoda. Either way, its very close to Kanda too. Big tap selection, 24-30 with all of it being Japanese. OK prices. Staff spoke enough English to make it easy. Big kitchen, although I didn't eat here. This, combined with some of the other Kanda stops, makes for a nice pub crawl.

The beer selection at WIZ was really solid on my visit and nicely balanced across styles between local and imported taps, which leaned more towards US craft. Welcoming staff that greet on entry and provided attentive service throughout our stay. White tiles set the backdrop of the bar, comfortable atmosphere and it’s all pretty slick with pleasant outdoor seating that looks over a rather plain concrete courtyard with minimal green space. Oh yeah, tasty food available too.

Located in office building, we’ve visited in the afternoon. Not much going on inside, doesn’t feel like a beer oriented place, modern interior. However they did have around 25 taps, two of them Asahi, couple US (one SNPA) and rest of them Japanese micros. Food was very good, service as well.

April 2016 good food nice selection

Very nice place. Thought I’d rated this before. Seem to care a lot about their beers and the selection is usually pretty good. Staff are friendly and helpful. Happy Hour has improved and it’s well worth popping in then. No cover charge.

Rather modern, slick place. Pretty good beer lineup with a nice mixture of domestic and imported craft. Staff was very knowledgeable and were interested in how I liked the beer. Good place. Prices are a bit high, but the happy hour gets you ¥200 off, so come then.

Wiz is a 5 minute walk from Hitachino Nest Lab and is located on the first floor of a swanky office complex. 2-7pm (SUN usually 5-7PM) 600¥ happy hour beers was a good surprise. This is matched by a clean posh-industrial decor of wood, steel, concrete and tile. I really liked the decor and atmosphere here. 26 taps on when I went with a good mix of styles and prices. Had a beer and liked the atmosphere so much I wanted another - the mark of a good bar.

Great place in Awajicho / Ochanomizu / Kanda area. Within walking distance a number of craft beer places. Non-smoking with awesome food. Prices are fair (most beers are 850 yen for one size). Happy hour prices are 600 yen for the same glass size. Patio is really nice and lunch time hours are very nice as well. Very clean and modern atmosphere. Also family friendly as well. Staff is very friendly and know their beer. Beer selection is one of the best in Tokyo with lots of Shiga Kogen, Y. Market, Kyoto Brewing and other top Japanese and American breweries. Beer condition and pours are spot on as well. Highly recommended.
