World Beer Museum Yokohama

Came here on 15.11.2017. Located in a large shopping mall, very difficult to find, ask for B2 floor. They have 4 bars tapping draft beers from different countries and offer +200 bottle beers. A strange concept as the real purpose of the different bars does not come across. We had some US and German beers which were ok. Food (steaks) was decent too. Overall a commercial place which is absolutely ok if you stay in one of the hotels close by, otherwise not worth a detour.

Atmosphere is a bit awkward, somewhat between a German market and a Japanese food court. Can’t complain about service, it was pretty fast and responsive. Selection is somewhat really wide and international but there are plenty of random low quality ones in there with stupidly high prices. The kegs also may not be very fresh, both drafts I tried didn’t taste so right. Food was average but quite limited, the cheeseburger doesn’t even come up with fries despite the high price tag. The worst part overall are the prices, way way overpriced for such an average food stall quality.

The newest version of this food court for beer. Yes, I went, because Chuwy wanted to. Why do I listen to him? Much worse than the Osaka store. Just about every beer we wanted was out of stock (the first 5 Czech beers I asked for!). Hmm, they opened two weeks ago...Server did not know a thing. Had one pils and left. The "Food Court in the Mall" atmosphere was much stronger here. Just felt worse than Osaka. Not that it really matters.
