Visited 05.08.21. Five regular beers on tap and one rotating. They also have a good selection of bottled beer. All of which are traditional German. Friendly service. A bit away from the main tourist track.

250M down the road from Schlenkerla. A bit more options than the average Bamberg bar besides of Abseits. But most in bottles which is meaningless since kellerbier needs to be drank fresh. Hummel, Griess, etc which is cool, but take time out your calendar and cruise a little out of the city and drink them fresh at the brewery.

Visited on a warm, August evening. Sat outdoors in the courtyard for most of the duration. We did not reserve a table since we were just drinking and in these times of reduced capacity that nearly proved to be a problem, so watch out for that. Had a taster with 4 regional beers and a couple of German IPAs. The taster was advertised as .1 pours but we received closer to .2 Nice stop on the whole.

Short visit July 2019 with my parents. Very unfriendly staff asking if we had booked a table, which we hadn't since we only wanted a beer.. the she told us we could stand at one of the table outside in front.. Very dull beer list, and it seemed they had more focus on drinks than the beers.. Since it was summer only outside seatings. pretty sure I won't revisit this place..

Great burgers. Bavarian beers on taps (on Zapfhahns) and cute beertender, and wooden barrels and tables in their backyard. Beer is cold. Great place.

Close by and easy to find as right about everything else in Bamberg. The view by the river nearby is amazing, touch more residential are maybe. Different crowd definitely. The focus is burgers here, the even have a vegan one! I got that one, I don’t really get the current jackfruit hype but their was tasty for sure. They had also an interesting selection of Franconian beers, different from elsewhere for sure. We tried some which were decent but not great. Great service. Definitely an interesting change of scenery, not an essential one I would say but that is only because this is Bamberg.

Visited late afternoon on 12th Sep 2018 (ten minutes after opening time, which was 17:00). Walked into the courtyard/biergarten and was asked if we were eating. Answered no and was directed to the low easy chairs at the rear passed all the high tables and other foodie tables.No problem, sat with a train driver from Duisburg and his wife before being joined by a young farmers son from south of Nuremburg; we talked about beer. The waitress was as friendly as the customers and the selection of beers was very impressive for Germany, let alone Bamberg. Liked the vibe and would have stayed longer but we wanted to visit another beer venue before it got too dark. Impressed and highly recommend it if you wish to try a few Franconian beers.

A nice surprise. I came here "by chance" looking for a place to eat something different in Bamberg. Very good selection of Franconian beers and also some german craft available. Kind service, proper glassware. Good prices as well.
