78 Didn’t have any chance to compare this to any of the other stores in the city, but this was a nice stop. Hundreds of offerings, most of them also available as singles. Good selection of bombers, including limited releases from regional breweries like Bent Paddle and Surly, as well as from further afield, like Deschutes. Friendly and helpful staff. Not in the nicest part of town. |
72 Supposedly it is the best in the city, it was alright, but I checked out 2 other bottle shops earlier in the day that had almost as much. They were quite knowledgeable recommending some good locals, prices were okay, and had quite a bit cold. Not a lot of Surly choices, which is what I was looking for, pretty much same everyone has. |
90 I may have dropped more money at this liquor store than any other, owing largely to the event I was buying for (reunion) and the time I was preparing for (one week). Still, the very large selection of singles and crowlers, helpfully organized for out-of-towners according to geographic location was excellent. Nice staff, a couple of brewery sampling were ongoing. Easy accessibility. Visited with Jess on the way to Northern Lights in 2018. |
88 Stopped in so I could say I finally bought beer on a Sunday in Minnesota. I liked the old school sign when I drove up. Walked in and noticed that the entire back wall was beer. There was also separate cooler on a side wall for bombers plus a couple of isles of beer. Really good selection for singles as well. Good staff too. I would go here again. |
84 nice staff decent selection had some good stuff in the pick six selection and a good amount of bombers in cooler |
86 Excellent selection. I only went to two beer stores in Minneapolis, but this was the better one, and the other was very good too. Really good seleciton, good service, easy to buy singles. Recommended to me by the folks at Surly. Worth checking out. |
84 Zipp’s is an awesome craft beer store. They almost always have what I am in for, and the store is well layed out. I wouldn’t say it is #1 for craft beer stores in the TC, but it is definitely top 10. |
82 Great beer-oriented liquor store. There’s two walls of coolers in addition to a couple of aisles filled with international and limited offerings. I spent a good 30 minutes perusing the selection and was asked several times if I needed assistance. Prices seemed quite solid. Overall, this is a place that does things right. Recommended. |
82 This place had a great selection. |
76 Looks run down from the outside, but the inside is standard. Helpful staff offered to break down anything for build-a-six and talked me through some of their cellared beer. Some singles seemed marked up a higher percentage than others, but mostly were about $2 a bottle. |
