Double Dry Hopped IPA We took our award winning Ultra Deluxe IPA and pushed it to the limit. Double the hops! 2021-2022: Following the framework of the original 'Ultra Deluxe' recipe, this iteration of the beer relies on a base of pilsner, maris otter, oats and wheat to provide a strong backbone for the blend of hops that saw over 25 KGs get added to the whirlpool on brew day. The Mosaic/Citra dominant dry-hop was also doubled up from the first recipe and cryo-hops were heavily relied on to keep the vegetal flavours in check despite the large additions.

UPDATED: JAN 8, 2022 Hazy deep yellow body and very modest foam. Tangy pine and pineapple aroma, chalky for sure. Taste is very sweet candy hops, lingering chalk and corn syrup everywhere. No sign of the alcohol, but captain we are absolutely in a one horse town.

UPDATED: DEC 19, 2021 Poured from the tap. Murky gold with small white head. Lots of dank tropical hops with a touch of chalk. Pretty good.

UPDATED: JUN 3, 2020 Can: Poured a hazy/cloudy yellow color ale with a large white foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of huge intense citrusy notes with some light tropical notes and sugar notes. Taste is also dominated by heavy citrusy notes with some tropical undertones, huge floral notes and residual sugar notes. Body is full with nice creamy texture and good carbonation. Huge NEIPA with very little subtlety but refreshing and enjoyable nonetheless.

UPDATED: MAY 14, 2020 A hop spray and then a little funk skunk. Beer taste late innings but still quaffable.

UPDATED: APR 4, 2020 16 oz. can, pours an opaque, murky peachy yellow with a large foamy white head. Nose is quite yeasty and chalky, with moderately dank hops, pithy fruits, and earthy notes. Flavour is very green and somewhat chalky, with bright pithy stone fruits, dank hops, earthy notes, and light-to-moderate bitterness. Fairly chalky and green, bordering on too filthy for me. It's not bad for a hazy, but still has too much of that chalky character that I disdain in this style.

UPDATED: FEB 25, 2020 Hazy and sort of dull. No head. Slight dank nose, harsh, fair bit of alcohol and lacks brightness. Husky, bit bitter, but rather unrefined.

UPDATED: FEB 10, 2020 Draught at Parallel 49, Vancouver, 450ml
Murky blond colour. The aroma is dank, and fruity, intense. The mouthfeel is rather soft, very dry, with very little chalk; it's a hop bomb, it starts with a dank character, then bitter citrus peel, to finish with some mint and mellow/malva; the finish is indeed slightly vegetable.
I would gladly drink a stronger version of this. Excellent.
