slowrunner77 (19086) - Reno, Nevada, USA - SEP 27, 2016Older review. Pretty basic wheat. Light in body and color with an unassuming banana clove citrus flavor and nose. Nothing off, but everything subdued, light a hefe light.
Dogbrick (17956) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - DEC 18, 2013Slightly cloudy yellow-orange color with a medium thin and foamy white head that diminishes quickly. Short strings of lacing. Aroma of toasty malt and bananas. Light-bodied with flavors of grainy malt, banana and wheat. The finish is overripe fruit and malt. Below average overall.
jsmerig (2028) - Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 13, 2013Pours a hazy dark amber. Pours with almost no head. Aroma of darker malt. Taste is more malty than expected. Lots of carbonation. Dry and crisp. Not bad but unexpected for a hefe.

BMan1113VR (7929) - Los Angeles, California, USA - FEB 2, 2012Bottle thanks to billshmeinke. Pours with a very mild haze and a large, fluffy white head that collapses quickly. Aromas are of oxidation, bready, wheat, banana esters and a very mild phenol. Flavors are of suntan lotion, oxidation and grainy wheat notes with mild esters. Lively bubbles, dry and thin. I think this might be an older bottle.
5000 (7050) - Hardened Liver, Washington, USA - NOV 25, 2011Bottle:   Orangish straw, hazy, large frothy white head, nice lacing.   Looks good at least.   Soft
wheaty nose, pale malts.   Hmmm, wheaty on the tongue, even a little spritzy.   Mild sweetness up front, a
little dry and tart on the backside.   Simple, but fairly clean.   Mouthfeel is fairly good, not as light as I
would have expected for this brand.   I am fairly impressed with this one.   Yeah, the best of the four so
far.   I do believe I like this more than the German Style Lager.   None of the German Hefe traits, but this
one is much better than most American examples.   Could easily use more banana and clove, but as a general Hefe it
was fairly tasty.
Braudog (8154) - Yorktown, Virginia, USA - OCT 2, 2011Bottle, Matt Brewing version. Pours with a nice poofy head into my weizen glass. The aroma is vaguely soapy-clean and this drinks with some moderate fruit. Lacks the esthery yeastiness of a textbook weizen. Ends up a bit flat. (#4268, 10/2/2011)
heemer77 (5729) - Urbandale, Iowa, USA - FEB 28, 2011Costco bottle. The body is a deep caramel gold colored body with some haze. A thin white scum of a head tops the rather pretty but surprising dark colored body for a hefe. The nose has lemons with some hints of the banana esters. There is also some caramel. The taste has some hints of lemon and a little bit of bread crust. There is also some hint of carame and banana peel. To me, this is close to a light amber with some wheat malt. Decent, but strange for a wheat.
Kevolutionary (18) - Red Lodge, Montana, USA - FEB 3, 2011Middle of the road Hefe... Cloudy appearance, It seems split between american hefe, and bavarian hefe with its flavor profile.
mansquito (12992) - Nueva York, New York, USA - DEC 27, 2010Costco: Pours a slightly clouded orange body with a white head. Aroma of sugary bubblegum and a little bit of citrus. Reminded me more of a mediocre American Wheat than of a proper German hefeweizen. Drinkable, but thoroughly mediocre. My least favorite Kirkland brew.
radagast83 (11245) - Arlington, Virginia, USA - OCT 17, 2010Bottle. Poured a cloudy orange/yellow color with a medium sized white head. Aroma was banana, yeast, grains. Flavor was banana, touch of cloves, yeast. Pretty standard, normal Hefe.
