COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bourbon Barrel Bestowed is an imperial stout aged 10.5 months in Willett Bourbon barrels. When sampling barrels, we were so in love with how these particular ones expressed in the beer that we decided to bottle them without adjuncts. This is an indulgent beer with a huge candied bourbon presence. It is very full bodied and so dark that it coats the glass. Expect notes of bourbon, dark chocolate, toffee and a hint of oak.

UPDATED: JAN 9, 2022 375 ml bottle ordered online from Bevi Birra. Pours an inky near black colour with virtually no head. Aroma is super dark with loads of barrel, smoke, leather, bourbon and cocoa. Flavour has rich bourbon with a nice sweet note, roast verging on smoke, lots of very dark chocolate and solid barrel. Alcohol isnactually quite subtle. Thick, slick mouthfeel. Nice.

UPDATED: DEC 25, 2021 375ml (thx, Chris S.!) @ 🏡 Appearance: pours like an oil, almost black with a dark brown head. Aroma: tons of bourbon, bourbon barrel, some vanilla, dark chocolate and leather. Taste: along the same lines, lots of bourbon, very oily, molasses. Overall: whoa, one the best straigh BBA beers I've ever had!

Alpha10 (1528) - Ontario, CANADA - NOV 25, 2021
UPDATED: NOV 25, 2021 2021/11/24 - Pours nearly black with a thin, tan head that quickly dissipates and leaves no lacing. Aroma is fudgey chocolate, caramel, barrel, bourbon and light molasses. Taste is caramel, chocolate icing, bourbon, barrel, molasses and roasted malt. Mouthfeel is slick and oily with soft carbonation and a long, sweet finish that is toasty and warming. Prefer the apple brandy version, but this is still excellent.
