Apparently this place has been here for years. I was told by a friend that I had to visit while I was in town. Turned out to be a nice place. Local beers were available on tap and the food was decent.

Nice little cafe tucked away from the main streets. Selection is decent with 15 taps to choose from but 4-5 of them being the Atlantic Brewing Company. Food was very good but the service was very slow. It took quite a bit to get some appetizers out but overall it’s worth a stop for the food alone.

This place is nice if you want good beer, good food and a nice relaxing atmosphere. We went twice, once for super and the next time just for a drink. For me it is a must place to go in Bar Harbor.

Relax little bar and restaurant tucked away from the swarms of tourists raiding downtown Bar Harbor. This is the easiest place to sample Atlantic brews on tap if you are staying anywhere near the town of Bar Harbor, since the brewery itself, although technically in Bar Harbor, isn’t really accessible by foot from downtown. I liked the Special Old Bitter, and the Porter was okay too. The crowd was much younger and more local than most places downtown, and the atmosphere was made more comfortable by this. One of Bar Harbor’s many interesting beer destinations, although this one wouldn’t figure in my priorities list.

I spent many an evening here during my summers working on the Island and grew to love this place. The beer is good, the food is good, the ambiance is wonderful - with the Bocce court and the indoor/outdoor seating it has more character than alot of Bar Harbor taps. Brings back great memories.

Not a bad place, though for such a small town, Bar Harbor is chock-full of places with good beer selections. This place used to be the brewpub for Atlantic Brewing; when I was there first in 2003 I think they were in the process of transitioning. They had and still have all the Atlantic stuff on tap (5 beers) of which only the porter was truly worth getting; the others were not awful, though. I can’t remember if they had Brother Adam’s Braggot, Atlantic’s mead/strong ale blend, which I had several months later in a bottle; that’s worth getting if they have it. I liked the rather dingy, low-ceilinged bar atmosphere, it was perfect on a rainy day (all 3 days we spent in BH were soaking), and the pizza was pretty good. Worth a visit, though I’m not sure I’d go out of my way.

This small beer cafe has a nice selection of beers including those from Atlantic Brewing. Bocce court outside with some outdoor dining. This is a good place to meet the locals working in the area. Bar is tiny but you do get to know those seated near by. If your in the area and enjoy good beer and socializing this is the palce to be in Bar Harbor.
