Reminds me of my visit to Urquell site in Plzen (Pilsen), Staropramen (Praha) or as an enlarged Mack (Norway). Nice place with friends, but as solo not overwhelming. Macro Lvivske beers. Just okay.

Decent enough for what it is - a macro brewery that offers tours. I guess these guys were the jewel brewery of the Soviet Union. Staff friendly enough. You can buy little bags of prosciutto and salamy for like a buck. Tour and taster flight is a few bucks. A little out of the way.

The museum tour held some interest but I was disappointed the pricey ticket doesn’t include beer samples. So you have to come here to try the beers. Large cellar atmosphere. Tables were filled with tour groups. Unexciting beers. I didn’t hang around long at all. Not worth it.

I kind of like these underground medieval-type cellar places seemingly catering for big tourist groups (the place is huge). A bit sullen service, but that’s part of the experience. Although we did not eat, the lunch set meal was an absolute bargain even for Ukraine prices, the ingredients probably cost more at the local supermarket. Only 4-5 local beers available, I tried the unfiltered, which was actually very fresh and although pretty standard, was probably one of my best pints this summer - fittedthe ambiance well.

The museum was closed for renovations when we wnt on a Wednesday evening. However. There were plenty of people in the beer halls. Also there was a guy with an accordian and another with a fiddle who were acting as MCs and entertainment... Heard many Ukrainian songs. Beers were what were expected but fortunately they had atuff generally not available elsewhere. Nothing great. Service was quick at the bar. Good time in general.

Went daytime but after museum hours so was empty and boring. But large cave interior worth a look. It is far from the old town. Not a "must." Some of the beers were in poor condition and it is not true than it is the only place to find nefiltrane. Unfortunately service was terrible when we were there.
