I was excited to visit, but it turned out to be a disappointment. Large industrial interior with central bar in the main room. There seemed to be more room in the back, but it wasn't used. The place was moderately busy. They had around 15-20 taps with nothing super interesting except few beers. Regular BCBS on tap. Went for Matilda which was forgettable. Great bottles selection of vintage BCBS covering various years and bunch of variants. Unfortunately they come at ridiculous prices, specially to-go. The other issue I had with this place was the service. One barman busted his ass off to serve the whole bar. Sitting at the bar I've waited for 10-15 minutes to place an order and most of that time barman was running around. Not sure if it had something to do with the strike, but that's no way to do business. So a good place if you're looking to splash $$$ on BCBS and service problems are solved.

Very nice place. A lot of vary beers. Giant space, very nice looking bar. Beers much better than a regular offer in nearby shops (APA or Wheat). Nice sours and perfect Bourbon Country.

Large space, multiple rooms, old industrial look. Over 20 taps and some bottles. Good WiFi. Friendly service. Food was decent if unexceptional.

Cool looking place but that's about it. I was expecting a much better selection of GI beers (BCS variants, etc.) but it was very basic. They only had 1 taproom only offering and it was so so. Absent service, pretty costly. Miss this one next time you're in Chicago.

AB Inbev has turned this once must stop in Chicago, into utter garbage. I was disappointed to learn of the remodeling after visiting Clybourn at least 50 times. This weekend I gave it a chance and it was one of the top 5 worst meals I've had in Chicago. As far as the decor, its boring and lost all old character. The service was ok, but you would think the server would be smart enough to let me know once I ordered no cheese on a dish that there was also cheese in a sauce, but he didn't and I got a food item I couldn't eat. Luckily this was a blessing in disguise because the food was so disgusting I wouldn't give it to a homeless person. The kids menu includes mac and cheese, which is clearly $8 for Kraft from the box. The Stilton burger lost all character and looked like a generic waste of beef. The menu overall sucks and lost lots of the classic items like the pub chips, onion rings, fish tacos and many others. The menu isn't appealing at all. Its as if someone not from Chicago thought they were making Chicago classics but they all came out wrong. As far as the alcohol goes, its all stuff made at Fulton, nothing new. And they had a bcs barleywine on. Who cares? What a shame. A place I once loved will never be visited again.

Frustrating that it was sold to AB-InBev, also frustrating that the quality of the food/service/beer seems to be a roll of the dice when ever you go. Over all it has been on the positive side though.

Expansive pub that clearly has added several additional rooms and service areas to its original design. I sat at a large U-shaped bar in the back of the building and received excellent service from the attentive bar staff. GI drafts numbered about 20 and included a solid amount of brewery exclusives. There were some nice English and German style offerings (including cask!) that I was more than happy to check out. Food was fairly average, but not offensive. Prices were a bit punchy, especially if you were interested in sampling some of the barrel aged stuff (for example, BCBS was well over $1 per oz - hard pass). Overall, a really nice spot that I look forward to revisiting after the renovation is complete.

A nice brewpub attractive décor. Tasted a few new Goose Island brews the beer selection is of course primarily Goose Islaands own. The pub food was really delicious. The place gets my warmest recommendations.

Long-standing large-sized pub. Always good bartenders, lots of stuff to try, unfortunately owned by ABInbev (hence the low overall score) so i don’t make it a frequent stop.
