66 So I have been here twice. Ask for a table near a window, great view. We had the buffet, which is only available at certain times is my understanding. The food quality on the buffet is quite good, but is pricey. Beer selection is quite limited. A better option in my assessment over the observation deck one floor above. |
46 Wait, this place is rateable? Hmm. We’ll I didn’t want to pay the $20 to go to the observation deck on the roof so I opted to buy an old/stale Goose Island Honkers for $8 and stay one floor lower. They were out of the IPA but considering how old the bottle that I got was it’s probably for the best. Didn’t eat but the view was nice. Sat right up against the window and could look down and had a good view of the lake. I could even see across to Michigan (looking at the south side of the lake, could not see to the eastern side). Or maybe that was still Indiana, I don’t know. Anyway, I did it and have no need to do it again.
I gave it a 10 for Overall because as a tourist you should go up to the top once. Maybe the food is good too, I don’t know. |
40 cool view, but way to expensive and nothing worth drink. Unless your a tourist, no reason for this. |
40 on the 96th floor of the Hancock building. the only thing worth drinking was Emmett’s Pale Ale for $8, but it beats paying $10 for no drink on the 92nd floor observatory. that said, this place is not RB-worthy and should not be visited by those seeking new or interesting beer while in Chicago. |
64 Some Goose Island and Emmett beers. At the 96th floor of the John Hancock Bldg with it’s own elevator, you get the view and 2-beers for the price of visiting the Observatory! A no-brainer... |
