Wingman Brewers

With such a great name then this should be 100. Standard tap room with barrels and stools to sit on. Range of beers on was decent and well kept. Staff were friendly, picked up a Wingman glass as a souvenir. Handy for the Amtrak station and worth a stop to pick up some Wingman beers

Basic taproom set up at the front of a working brewery, we stopped by on Friday 7th November ’14 at around 8pm. The place was fairly moderate in size and spartan in decorative terms, a few stools to sit at and shelves/barrels to place your beer on. Only 6 other folks in the building aside from ourselves made for a slightly hollow vibe, but not unpleasant. 8 beers on tap during our sojourn, 7 own and a guest from DFH. 3 bottles to go. Friendly service from the guy behind the bar who was one of the brewers I believe. House beers were adequate coming in at 3.25 rating average for me, tasting flights available. Solid enough taproom but if you happened to be in Tacoma for one night I wouldn’t necessarily put this on a priority list as its a little out of town. That said the beers here were as good as the other venues in town, but if you were looking to maximise ticks then the effort to get here and back may push this one off the schedule. Little over a 5 minute walk from the Amtrak station so worth considering if you are catching a train and have time to kill.

A working brewery that has mostly standing room and is a bit outside the happening part of town. Service was great and passionate about beer. Selection was their own with some guest ciders. Food was bring your own. Beer was OK, but nothing stood out to make this worth the specific trip.

These guys have something awesome going on. Located in there first location I know of which they are going to move soon. No tap room - This is a production only place. I will update when they open the tap room. Stopped at the new place and loved it. Tap room full of people and awesome beers being poured.

Wingman has nothing special going on. Many of their beers are subject to infection, pre mature racking/fermentation issues and off base recipes. I applaud the Wingman effort and hope they correct these issues in the fututre.
