84 This is pretty much a standard midwest bar feel. Parking is ok, but expect to walk a couple blocks on busy evenings. Town Hall beers featured with some guest taps to round things out. They have pre-set flights on the menu, but you can roll your own as well. Good service. I have a soft spot in my heart for town hall since they have been in their original west bank location since I lived here., but objectively the beer is lets say above average. I ordered the cuban, which was pretty mediocre, unfortunately. |
72 Just south of the city centre, this is an old-school place. Plenty of street parking available. Pre-set flights - staff will do a few free samples, then samples beyond that are $0.50 (pretty ticker-friendly). Most of the hoppy beers on tap when I visited were infected with diacetyl. Friendly service. Worth a visit. |

82 A really cool local spot with a nice pub feel to it. Place opens up well so nice days can be enjoyed even if you are stuck sitting inside. Service was good. Selection is solid but not as diverse as the brewpub location. I did not try the food on my visit but prices were solid overall. A nice spot! |
82 A great local with a friendly, informal ambiance. The room’s roughly split in half between a dining area and a bar space with a long counter and high tops. I sat at the bar and received prompt, courteous service. While the tap list didn’t feature as many Town Hall beers as the mother ship brewpub, they made up the difference with a very solid selection of guests. The food menu seemed to be very similar to the brewpub and was equally tasty. Overall, the brewery itself may offer a better selection of house beers, but this place has a relaxed charm that makes it a great local hangout. The citizens of south Minneapolis are lucky. |
76 Visited after work on a Friday. Very much a neighborhood place, located in the commercial strip by 48th and Chicago. Separated into two rooms, big bar area with plenty of standing around space to the left, plenty of restaurant seating to the right. Beer selection is 5 Town Hall house beers, 4 Town Hall Seasonals, 11 guest taps, and 2 casks. Comfortable spot, good crowd, efficient service. Would certainly be a great local. 76 = ★★★ (Worth the visit, must for locals, and visitors with time) I only use the total score, not the component parts. |
74 Small, but it’s intimate and antique atmosphere make the place quite enjoyable. Can get loud when it’s busy. |
76 This satellite location for Town Hall Brewery is pretty much just that. Fewer Town Hall drafts than the brewery; generally shorter on seasonal offerings. Twelve guest lines shared between regional micros and ciders. It is more or less nothing more than a great neighborhood bar, and given that it offers nothing beyond the experience at the parent location, it’s inaccurate to call this place a destination in its own right. |
82 Man I always forget about this place. But I really like it. It’s in a more low key part of town. It’s pretty nice when it’s warm enough to open the front up. Town hall taps and always nice guest taps. Good food as the other th locations. |
84 Good alternate place to go if you are not near the Town Hall Brewery. It features some Town Hall taps and other taps. The food and service are good. Definitely worth stopping in. |
