Wife and I stopped in for a drink before a wedding downtown. Nice small spot in Wilmington. Mostly a wine bar but an excellent bottle selection that included Duck Rabbit and 21st Amendment. Quiet and upscale atmosphere. I was impressed with the many places in town with nice beer selections.

This is a small, classy joint whose primary focus is on wine with well-to-do clientele. The beer selection is above average for the area, but nothing exceptionally stand out or rare is available. I do appreciate that they are trying to spread the good beer word with tastings and appropriate glassware. The food is mostly tapas. We had excellent goat cheese endive. The Fortunate Glass is worth a stop if you have some extra time before you visit Cape Fear Beer.

This place is a wine bar that just opened, but they do have a well-chosen though small selection of craft brews. Small plates were delicious. Quiet, laid back place with friendly locals that makes for a great change from the massively loud places with mediocre beer that abound in this area.
