Basic community local with a cracking range of well kept real ales. Friendly staff. You can park in the car park opposite even though it says for Best DIY only. Currently (1/10/14) the house beers are Townhouse’s Meridian Mild and Gladstone Strong Ale plus Castle Rock Sheriff’s Tipple and Wells Bombardier. Kasteel Rouge is also available on tap as well as Dortmunder Pilsner and some mass produced British stuff.

A very old fashioned pub with a 30+ bottled beers from Belgium and the US and 9 hand pumps, 6 constantly rotated, all at a very good price. The staff are very friendly, as are the locals. May be in need of a lick of paint, but a must visit if you are in the area.
