Firefly American Bistro and Bar

Firefly is an excellent restaurant, though not exactly a beer lover's place. Taps are limited and mostly local brews. The food is excellent and a good reason to come here.

I’ve stopped in here a few times. This restaurant sits in an old mill building just off of Elm st in downtown There is limited parking in the lot behind it, but plenty of on street and a parking garage across the street. Its kind of a small space and it does get crowded on the weekend, reservations are recommended for food. Two seating areas off to the left have probably 30 tables total with a bar off to the right that seats maybe 25. Decent selection of maybe 20 taps mostly beginner type micros, with a gem or two mixed in. I’ve heard they have bottles, but there is no menu that I’ve seen. My last visit had Throwback Campfire. The service has always been great, although the waitstaff seems iffy when it comes to beer knowledge. The food I’ve had ranges from decent to spectacular. Pricing is a bit on the high side. I enjoy this place but feel the food and tap list is sometimes hit or miss.

This is a restaurant and bar in downtown Manchester just a short walk off the main drag (Elm Street). The interior has ornate antique decorations on the hardwood bar, whicb sits between brick walls on the east and west sides of the building. On tap, 15 of the 16 beers are crafts (they have to have at least one Bud Lite tap for the masses). Two White Birch brews on draft. There are about 60 bottles of quality beers available. I went for lunch and tried out their $5 lunch menu. I’ll tell you; White Birch Belgian Pale pairs well with their ham and melted swiss on a bagel. Hand cut potato chips. Friendly service. Decent prices. A nice small and quiet place that is just enough out of the way to be relaxing.
