This feels like the unloved child of the James Squire family. Squeezed in next to a laneway it didn't feel as open or as welcoming as others I have been to. One beer I hadn't tried so I had that and left.

Rather sterile setting for what is in essence, a corporate brewpub. Most of the taps are the commercial brew, one was dedicated to something brewed in house. Had one and left....

F&$@ me! $11 for a pint of JS? Ok some was a ’Brewhouse’ offering but still......Anyway about on par with the sister venues in Melbourne and Sydney. Modern and souless for some but kinda nice. Was good to be able to drink outdoors after a long winter in Victoria. Menu looked good and could almost be accused of being upmarket. Prices reflect the Perth premium. For CBd drinking this isn’t too bad.

If you like James Squire, this is the place to go. However, pint price for a schooner and usually pretty busy with zero ambiance.

Another gastro-pub like all other gastro-pubs in and around Perth to be built soulless and lacking in charm over the past decade along the lines of the ALH and Gastevski group’s offerings. Rowdy and jammed to the hilt with patrons on the weekends; relatively untouched during the week. Menu is typical, neat, tasty and quick to turn out, but the staff are more focused on keeping the punters drinking than rotating tables - points for that. Malt Shovel as far as brews go with a guest tap of some other borderline macro. Yet to try the house ale as this is surely the highlight of the place with the copper brewery clearly visible from the street front entrance. Still a good place for a lunchtime bevvie if you’re not too picky!

This place could be a hub for craft beer alas all they really serve is James squire. Best thing about this place is beer they brew on site which is an ESB.

If you enjoy James Squire beers, then this is the place for you. Other than that, there really isn’t much else going on. Just your typical pub with Squire as the only beer of choice
