72 just off king st. cool pizza joint with quick and friendly service. tap list is pretty small but features just local stuff. pizza and food was good. |
62 Last stop of the night on our 1 night Jax beer tour (after Aardwolf, Kickbacks, Intuition) - so take this with a grain of salt... I was looking forward to some deep dish, but it was a strange pie (no Giordano’s for sure). The crust was proper on the outside, but the middle was more like a lasagna. Ok, not great. As for the beer, they had a handful of local / regionals. I had Green Room Count Shak-U-La and Pinglehead Red. |
84 This place has some of the best pizza in Jacksonville. The first time I went in, they were a little stand-off-ish. Be sure to go back. Once they know you come in once or twice and will continue to visit, the staff really opens up. I get a free beer for being military whenever I visit. That may or may not be an actual thing, but I really appreciated it. Their beer selection isn’t huge, however it is perfect for their menu. Local beers and a great pie or Italian favorite makes this place a must. |
78 Another King Street place! WOOOO! Laid back pizza place vibe, almost diner-esque. The service is always prompt and friendly, but don’t expect beer experts. Sometimes the place is PACKED - you’ve been warned. The beer selection is average for the area - lots of locals and good crafts. The Chicago deep dish pizza is the only thing I’ve ever had from them and the only thing I’ll ever need. Delicious. Average beer prices for the area. If you’re on a beer trip, this isn’t a destination to seek out, but if you’re on a beer trip and want awesome Chicago deep dish pizza and you’re on King Street (you will be), then stop in for sure! |
