56 5 minute walk from work. Cask selection has the usual spoons beers plus a small changing range of Staffordshire breweries for example Lymestone and Titanic. Not much in way of new ticks for me, but maybe a couple for visitors to the area. |
60 Top of the town centre JDW on two levels in an old looking building with some timber beams and crooked floors inside. Cosy interior with the usual JDW selection, prices, beer festivals and family friendly (bar is downstairs with additional seating upstairs so provides a good area if visiting with kids) |
46 Typical town centre Wetherspoons, bar area is divided into several seating areas. The usual Wetherspoons food menu and a fairly unexciting range of cask ales. Top end of the town centre. |
64 It looks like an ordinary pub from the outside, and there are a few of them in the area so it doesn’t immediately stand out, but inside the pub has an attractive brickwork and slate style. There’s a couple of entrances so depending on what side you enter it may feel busy or empty. Out front there is a small patio area but if there are smokers there you may have to join them passively as there is little room for maneuver. Ale choice not an issue here. |
