Not sure how I missed this one. I’ve been several times since I started rating places and somehow I missed this. Oh well, better late than never. This is a large brewery (for a startup) that seems to have plans to expand quite a bit. They have a very nice tasting bar built and some neat little taster trays but 1) they’re hard to find in the back of a large industrial complex and 2) the beers are pretty meh. Parking is kind of sparse since each warehouse only has a couple of spots available and the owners of those businesses are pretty anal about their parking spots. The bartender has always been very nice and offered some free tastes if I wasn’t sure what to order. They usually have at least a few hoppy beers on but again the beer isn’t great. I’ll continue to check in occasionally since they cranking out the ticks and since there are several new breweries in the area. Also, in my trips I haven’t seen a food truck, so be warned.

Short: A lower quality brewery tasting room specializing in high-boost ales

Long: A very hard to find brewery tasting room tucked into some construction equipment lots. Follow the very small Valiant signs. Inside you are first guided past a Jesus statue and then through the bathrooms and breakroom to find the brewery tasting room inside the brewhouse. Intense potty smell emanating from the toilets did not help with the beer experience here. A lot of house beers, on tap, about 16 or more. You can do cheap tasting flights of 5 beers and they are nicely labeled via your own tick sheet like ordering a la carte sushi. Beers for the most part were too high abv for style with chemical, harsh palates. A lot had potential, but few if any delivered. Staff was nice. Frankie had his 50th birthday party inside, you they’ve got that going for them.

I checked out this new brewery earlier today. I enjoyed it: they had a nice variety of styles on tap: Mighty Maximus Premium Bitter, 3.6% 31 Kings IPA , 6.5% Veranda Biere de Garde, 8.5% Hotspur Dunkleweisen, 5% Fields Ablaze Saison, 6.8% Octave, Dark Belgian Pale Ale, 6.4% VBC Trappist Ale, 10.5% They weren’t too busy and the owner walked up to me and we chatted for a while. Brian is a nice friendly guy and his beers were pretty darn good. I’ll definitely go back.

Brand new brewery that just opened up down the street from Old Orange. Kind of hard to judge them from the first night they were open, but I’ll certainly be back. They had only a handful of beers on, but they were all decent. The service was extremely helpful and friendly. Pretty nice set up, but the tasting area is kind of small, or was how it was set up on opening day, anyway.
