Stopped in recently on a Tuesday afternoon. Pleasant ambiance inside with good tunes playing, ample bar seating and scattered tables, inside and out. Great service and a large selection of draft beer, 24 total, encompassing a large range of styles. The beer here is pretty solid, with a few occasional standouts. Fair prices taboot. Worth checking out, especially if you find yourself in this industrial area of east Boulder.

Industrial taproom in an industrial part of Boulder. Not the greatest vibe, nor the greatest vibe by staff. Solid lineup of beers but nothing that made me want to do more than samples of. Couple of food trucks outside and not much else. Beers lacked for what else is available in the area.

Maybe it was the beautiful day or the fact it was packed yet the service was fine and I enjoyed my beer. I admit it was a "one and done" affair and maybe I ordered the one beer I would enjoy, But I enjoyed it. If ever I get to go back, perhaps I might change my tune.

(Visited 03/2015): The Flatiron Park location of Upslope is situated off 55th Street on Flatiron Court east of Boulder . A little difficult to find with GPS using the address, and parking on the street is available but tough to find.

The exterior has an industrial feel and has a patio. Inside the industrial vibe continues, with metal and concrete decor except for a far wall with a nice wooden facade that features their logo. A long bar along the back that has a large window behind it offering a view into the brewery itself. There is a board above the bar listing the beers on draught.

Upslope has around 12 beers on tap with some mainstays and some seasonal/limited offering. Samplers are available. On my visit the selection included their flagship beers as well as some unique options such as Imperial Rye, Apricot Saison, Ozo Coffee Brown, Tequila BA Belgian Dark Strong, Winter ale and one of the Lee Hill series. The beers were pretty solid across the board aside from a couple forgettable ones.

Service in the bar area was decent, as we were ordering at the bar and bringing samples back to our high top table so there wasn’t a lot of interaction. The bartenders were still friendly and efficient though.

Upslope doesn’t have a food menu.

Overall this is a pretty good spot to visit in Boulder.

Corporate park location. Modern taproom interior serving over a dozen from draft with light snacks for food. It’s a struggle to find clean beer from Upslope, and their Belgian styles are downright awful, but they do occasionally make a drinkable brown ale or porter. Placards at the tables advertise a local "tasting society" for would-be aficionados... so perhaps a taster tray of Upslope can be used as a flaw kit.

This tasting room shares a building with a coffee roastery, which also provided some tantalizing aromas out on the patio. There’s a lot of seating inside and outside and a huge selection of beer. There were over twenty on tap and a few cans as well. I enjoyed all the beers I had. What I think is that the more robust styles could use a little more body, but the lighter styles were very appropriate. The light lager and Belgian single were remarkably clean and well crafted. This is definitely worth a visit due to the cool taproom and insane variety of beers.

Kind of an odd location and a bit tricky to find- Google got us lost looking for it. Bartender didn’t want to serve us 12 samplers because "that would be overserving." Little did she know that we had already tried over 50 beers earlier in the day and we’re professional tickers. She did end up serving us 12 half samples, but it was a bit ridiculous. Ambiance ok. Beers also ok.

Shitters: have yet to visit

this place was sort of tough to find with our gps directions, but we go there eventually. it’s sort of right on the corner. sort of a semi-circle shaped bar with a handful of tables around the perimeter of the tasting room. glass allows you to see into the brewhouse. service was odd. the girl behind the bar was friendly but wouldn’t serve us samples of all their beers...okay. beer quality was just alright. a few being decent and most being subpar. wouldn’t come back here, most likely.

Visited October 8, 2013.

We got in just before last call. We ended up driving past it the first time and following the GPS took us around the back. They also didn’t have much in the way of a sign out front to let anyone know there is a brewery there. Once inside there were about 3 other customers. They had an interesting music selection, some bluegrass band that plays covers. I heard some Iron Maiden and some Metallica in the form of blue grass. Nice. They had 10 beers on tap but they wouldn’t do samples of more than 5. I didn’t catch the reasoning but they agreed to do half pours for half price and give us all 10. A couple of the hoppy beers were nice as was one other one. The rest were middle of the road. I guess they must be popular around town since they have a pretty large brewing system. What ever the case I can’t see myself hanging out here often, at least if it’s going to be like when we were there.

Newly opened location in a business-park-type area. Inside has an industrial/urban feel with low-lit lighting and concrete countertops. I had the sampler and another pint of the Double IPA. Most beers are solid with a few gems, as well as, misses sprinkled in, but the beer is reasonably priced all-around. Service was friendly and we had no complaints. Decent amount of grass out front to enjoy some beers on during a hot afternoon. We had a great time here and will definitely return when we are back in Boulder. Doesn’t hurt that it is so close to Avery either.
